I flew out to California this week to purchase a few Land Cruisers.
This little gem is a beauty.
1962 fj40 fst. (62 frame number 63 title vin stamp)
95% original paint.
56,000 original miles.

Rear sill had some rust and was replaced by prior owner. Needs painted correctly in rear sill area.

Purs like a kitten.

Excited for it to arrive tomorrow.

Today I looked through the documents I received and I found a Bill of Sale with the name Melinda Lunghi. So I did a quick Google search and found a Toyota Trails magazine with the 62 on the cover. Pretty cool.

More photos to follow.

That’s super awesome. Just about finished my 62 (titled as 64) so that one you found looks really neat. Keeping it or selling?

We all trade Cruisers like kids trade baseball cards.
Right now my plans are to keep them. I paid a lot for this little gem and the LV. I can't imagine finding one's more original and in better condition.

Gabe,

Where are the pics of the other LC’s you got and the story to go along with them?!?!

Especially the LV…

We need more Cruiser porn!

Please and thank you!

Any leads on who could make a canvas top for this? If you have one fit locally, there might be an economy of scale. I need one to fit OEM bows.

I bought one overseas for the 62. I have not tried it on yet so I can't say for sure that it will fit properly. I will let you know if it does and maybe someone can use it for a pattern.

I believe this truck came out of El Paso. Transporter took it uncovered and shredded the original top circa 2000. Glad it has a good home. I will search for old images....

I would love to see them. Thanks for the information.

I pulled the 62 out of the barn this will and took it for a spin. It runs great. 60 mph plus. Very pleased with it. Bad news is the soft top I bought for it does not fit. That’s frustrating!

Dang that thing is unmolested!

It looks very good. They took a pressure washer to the engine bay and it blasted a lot of paint off of the engine compartment. I we have to clean that back up. The shifter rod also stripped out from the turn signal housing in the past. They drilled it and put a bolt in it. That doesn’t work well and needs repaired.
