Onur-

Let's do a timeline r/t my addiction: Bought the new 60. Mulled around mud, thinking of doing a simple tranny swap and refresh on the axles & diffs. Met Onur. Frame-off and everything new - hmm, if we were AA buddies, we'd have been asked not to return already, lol.

White 60: Just finished the work on her. New Carb, rebuilt PS & gearbox, rear brakes, flush fluids, etc. Going to post her up for sale next week in the local hunting ads. . .can't afford one, much less two of em'.

Ok - 17 minute lunch officially over. Talk to you soon, Onur. . .

You know where I am!

Long overdue update:

Past few weeks, the 60 has been in the shop for the infamous desmog. Waiting on Jim C's package to arrive any day - woot.

In the mean time:

1. Ordered front/rear bumpers from IH8MUD member @reevesci. They were delivered about 10 days ago and will pick them up from the powder coating shop tomorrow morning. Had them zinc primer'd and satin black PC.

2. Removed the front ARM bumper & rear OEM bumper, spare tire carriage and associated support member. Cleaning that area up and coating with POR-15, then painting black.

3. While doing the desmog, installing a MG alternator and starter, new water pump, thermostat, hoses, gaskets, etc.

4. Bought a header (TLC) and sent it to get ceramic coated. Due to pick up tomorrow.

5. Once the desmog is done, getting a new SS exhaust, either high flow or pure carless.

6. Ordered a new OME heavy/heavy + deluxe kit from Kurt at Cruiser Outfitters. Due next Monday.

7. Have a early Christmas order coming in from Onur; placed a 2nd order for some additional goodies - which tends to happen when you get on the phone with him, lol.

8. Bought the parts necessary for the 4Runner break upgrade but debating on returning and going with Redline's Tundra upgrade kit & rear disc conversion kit.

9. Ordered a new Fuel Revolver and Cooper AT3 to go on the back of the new rear bumper.

10. Aluminium panels finally arrived - just need to find the time to start the door panel design now.

Ok. . .that's about it. Once all of the above starts to come 2gether, get put on the truck, I'll start posting some pics.

Enjoy the holidays and Merry Christmas...

Great read, enjoy christmas and get back on track, I love seeing the transformation!

Thank you and same here - enjoy the holidays and Merry Christmas. The 60 has been a lesson in patience - and the necessity to get a 2nd job, lol.

Shane, what size BFG All Terrains came on the 60 when you first got it?

I think they were 31x10.50. . .like 99% sure.

Thanks again! Looking forward to seeing your build progress

Kurt-

Man, my pleasure working with you & your staff. Onur & Jason referred me to you guys and I'm extremely happy with their recommendation. Great service and truly appreciated the time spent going over the intended use/lift requirement. Also wanted to thank you for the extra effort regarding the attempted shipping coordination - excellent show of your customer service commitment.

I"ll post pics once the kit arrives and through the installation process.

Merry Christmas & Happy holidays...

Sure thing and will do; looking forward to Monday. The install may be delayed as I'm debating pulling both axle housing. Going to get both front/rear rebuilt. Since I'm chaining the steering & PS boxes out, replacing the tie/relay rods/steering dampener, etc, figure might as well remove the frigging housings, and have the powder coated while I"m at it.

Again, thanks so much and I"ll post pics as the install progresses.

How about a little OEM parts porn:

And the quest continues. . .

Shane

Sexy for sure.
If, by quest, you mean searching a place to store those parts I'm happy to help :)

Thanks for the offer - hehe - but 'quest' meaning the almost f'n impossible parts to find.

What parts do I speak of?

Hmm...

1. F'n front fender vents.

2. F'n door innards (rods, clips, things that hold rods & clips 2gether).

3. F'n dash caps.

4. F'n seatbelts.

5. F'n anything Onur has that isn't available anymore, lol.

Still prepping for the bumper install:

S,

you're going to love having the new door regulators...was so much easier/smoother rolling the windows up and down. Kinda wish I'd gotten the new door handles too...but seemed overkill since i was getting them powder coated black to go with my blackout...that said would be great to have new gaskets for under the handles...oh well.

You installing most of that stuff yourself? I did the OME springs on my 40 myself...then smartened up and paid Tor to install them on the 60. :)

Knowing you I'm assuming full new weather stripping, interior door wipes, etc. Think I also see some new d pillar louvers...thought I'd gotten that last set of these. :)

have fun installing....nice stash of parts there.

Still prepping for the bumper install:

I missed this...did you install LED headlights?!?!?! If so which ones. I need to do the same...i think I'd get more lumens from attaching two candles to my front bumper vs. the stock headlights.
