need pics of bench seats

I need picks of your bench seats. I picked up a front bench to replace the crappy buckets that were installed and need to see what they look like. Yea, I know, stick with the buckets but I want the bench back in. I have seen some pics of bench seats that look thicker and all the brackets are hidden under the vynal but the bench I picked up has the brackets exposed and the seat looks thinner or lower profile. Is this a later model seat? I will try to get pics but it is in my storage unit now. I would also like to add headrests but have to pull the cover first to see if there are provisions for this.

the thinner seat is a later seat. it won't bolt into the earlier models. did the thick seat look like this? if so, theis is the earlier style.

Yea, that is the "thicker" seat. Why won't the later seat bolt on? Is the spacing of the slides different? I'll have to get it out and take measurements. When did the seats change? I have a late '74.

bolt pattern was different (i want to say wider) and, iirc, the tracks were in a different position. not too sure on the years, the seat i had came out of a 78

78 seems pretty late. I really have to go over to storage today and get come pics and measurements.

Here is a pic of my bench. I measured it and it looks like it will fit. I will try it out this weekend before moving forward with getting it recovered. Can anyone tell me what years these were in?
