Of course 8 months after they are discontinued I need them. Anyone know of an OEM source (doubtful) or a good aftermarket caliper for the FJ62. Or anyone have a left and right they are willing to part with?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

When I redid my front brakes several years ago, Toyota FJ60 new calipers were no longer available. FJ60 & 62 calipers are almost the same.
So I went to my local Auto Zone auto parts store and purchased remanufactured Toyota calipers which were rebuilt by Cardone.

They looked brand new and performed perfectly. - and they were very inexpensive.

Cruise Outfitters (Cruiser Tech) has new, Japanese made, loaded calipers.

Yes we do!

All from OE manufacturers too! 😎

If you get the remans, take the time to paint them.

I did not need loaded calipers (my pads were fine) so I got Rock Auto cheapie reman calipers and they have worked well. It's nice to not have it pull under hard braking.

I replaced all the rubber brake lines in my truck years ago - you might inspect yours closely and be sure they are sound and not rotted.

At this moment Cruiser Outfitters also Out of Stock, who else maybe has them ?
I got remanufacured front calipers from my local AutoZone parts store. They were genuine Toyota calipers rebuilt by Cardone. They looked brand new and worked perfectly. Also very inexpensive.

After rebuilding my FJ40 calipers, I'll pass. What a stinkin' mess that was. It isn't hard, but it's like juggling 50 live squid with greasy hands. I'm sure if I did it again, I could be more efficient about it.

I just did my fronts on a fj62, got remans from Orileys. The parts I had were 3 years old from napa and one seized, the orileys parts appear to be zinc plated and I don't think the parts from napa were. To be fair I'm bad about doing a wash down after water crossings and it's only a weekend driver.
