I really don't want to open a can of worms here.
I have a similar clientele to PRLC. People with high level of disposable income. I understand where Jeremiah is coming from. He has a brand. One that took time to build. So do I. When you start going against what you built, it undermines your own company. I struggle with this in my own business.
I choose Jeremiah and PRLC because I trusted him to execute what I wanted my rig to be. I spoke with a couple others as well, but I liked Jeremiah most.
The biggest thing was trust in making it exist as long as I need it to by negating rust issues. It had a lot of issues i knew about and way more that I didn't. They know all of the problem areas. Where tinworm likes to live, and they know how to kill it.
I never wanted to call it a restoration. The word just doesn't fit. I use my rig. I liked calling it a "refreshtoration". Right now I'm headed east on I-90 with it on the trailer. I spent the weekend running trails in the Black Hills of South Dakota. It's not a concourse queen. I picked it up less than a month ago, and I've put almost a thousand miles on it since running around home and some hard miles this weekend. I wanted the rust eradicated and it repainted. That's what I got, and I'm super happy with how it turned out.
This all started
I am NOT PRLC's demographic. I make a decent living, but this is by far the dumbest thing I've ever spent money on. My justification is that I spent 20 years working 80-100 hours a week and pouring every dollar I could back into my business. Fūck it, I want to be irrational.
But, i didn't have unlimited funds either.
