this and power steering transforms a 40

Now the I've got maybe 600 miles on it, I 100% agree. I think the wheelbase did more than the power steering though.

Still drives like shît, but way way better than before. I think if I threw caster shims in the front it would also make a small improvement to things.

I also think the Bilstein shocks over the Old Man Emu shocks was an improvement.

Yeah dude, you need those.

If your caster is off, you will be amazed at what a couple degrees to the + side will do for handling.

Flip the rear springs and move the wheel wells back, longer drive shaft. I'm guessing some brake lines needed to be bent up as well.

I think it moves the axle a total of 4" back. Which percentage wise is huge. It'll cruiser relatively comfortably now at 75mph. I'm still not a fan, my otherwise decent mileage gets real bad above 70.

My wheel arches and wells were rotten, so they got cut out and replaced. Perfect time to move the rear axle back

What mileage are you seeing?

Pretty much 20mpg. I think the best I've ever seen was a little over 23. It's pretty much 19.5 to 20.5 ever single time
That’s pretty much identical to my 13bt. I’ve averaged 20 for the past 5 years. IMy best was 23.9. My tracking is over 5 years, over 2000 gallons and 45,000 miles. It’s been 3% off since the bigger tires 2 years ago so it should be 3% higher.

A phone crash caused me to lose a couple months this spring that I didn’t back up 😑
The minimum is wrong as well.

I don't think my caster is off. If you put more weight on the steering, it will have have less tendency to wander.

What you can't over come is the narrow track not fitting in the wear pattern of the road, sloppy ball steering, solid front axle, leafs front and rear, solid axles both ends, short wheelbase, poor CH, and a relatively wide tire.

It's fine, a new pickup isn't much better and they've got a lot more going for them.

And the driver…

If you have a lift kit and don’t have shims in it, put shims in. It will track a lot straighter at higher speeds

It is funny that he doesn't want to sound whiney but he was super whiney the whole time. about how it wasn't their bumpers or their Tuffy console. then pointed out all of the things that you didn't want them to touch when they could have just not mentioned it and no one would have known any different.

I really don't want to open a can of worms here.

I have a similar clientele to PRLC. People with high level of disposable income. I understand where Jeremiah is coming from. He has a brand. One that took time to build. So do I. When you start going against what you built, it undermines your own company. I struggle with this in my own business.

I choose Jeremiah and PRLC because I trusted him to execute what I wanted my rig to be. I spoke with a couple others as well, but I liked Jeremiah most.
The biggest thing was trust in making it exist as long as I need it to by negating rust issues. It had a lot of issues i knew about and way more that I didn't. They know all of the problem areas. Where tinworm likes to live, and they know how to kill it.
I never wanted to call it a restoration. The word just doesn't fit. I use my rig. I liked calling it a "refreshtoration". Right now I'm headed east on I-90 with it on the trailer. I spent the weekend running trails in the Black Hills of South Dakota. It's not a concourse queen. I picked it up less than a month ago, and I've put almost a thousand miles on it since running around home and some hard miles this weekend. I wanted the rust eradicated and it repainted. That's what I got, and I'm super happy with how it turned out.

This all started

I am NOT PRLC's demographic. I make a decent living, but this is by far the dumbest thing I've ever spent money on. My justification is that I spent 20 years working 80-100 hours a week and pouring every dollar I could back into my business. Fūck it, I want to be irrational. 🤣

But, i didn't have unlimited funds either.

I understand upholding the standards for the brand. and what they did improve on looks great. I love the color by the way, and refreshtoration is one term that I originally heard from Onur. But most people aren't going to see what they did do and didn't do unless it was pointed out. I kind of like going on the easter egg hunts. I think yours is a sweet rig and you should be proud of it, they just seemed very negative towards you since the way you did it wasn't the way they would do it. On that note they would never want to touch mine because of all of the things that I have done to it.

100%. Which is what creates the problem. I do something dog****, Jeremiah takes the blame.
I still think that your work is better than most, and most certainly better then my work. I don't know why that episode irked me, but it did. I quite like your bumpers and am a bit jealous of them.

I blame @OlYellr for stirring the pot 😜

I just don't want Jeremiah painted in a poor light. I like the guy.
