Well, the poor 80 series still sits largely neglected in my driveway due to work and other life stuff.
Dobinsons springs are lurking in my garage.
I did get my Wits-end QPM and "hidden" sub installed.
A winch is sitting in its box in the basement.
I have all of the major components for a York oba system lurking around.
I deleted my factory roof rack. So far, I have just done steel stick epoxy stuff, primer, bondo glazing putty, and more primer.
Driver's door lock fell down inside the door. I'm sure that the retention clip fell off or broke, but I think I may use this happening as an excuse to order the full lock core kit.
Does anyone know if a current MUD vendor offers that kit? I can get it from that UAE vendor on ebay for 300, but would like to support the mud community.

I finally got some different seats installed.
The grass is not greener enough. Oh well.
They are some funky Recaro knock-offs that got pulled out of a vintage Mustang I guess.
I mounted them to Planted Technology seat brackets.
I wish I would have messed with them more at the shop, as they only have 1 “upright” position that is still a bit reclined.

I lost my dang key!! Of all the boneheaded moves.
My dash is all apart again, as i thought I would simply swap to my new ignition cylinder but lo and behold you need the key to get the thing in/out.
I should have a new Vin cut key waiting at a local Mr T tomorrow, and I ordered a bunch of replacement dash lights thanks due mostly to @jcardona1 and his skillful additions to the "definitive led thread for the 80 series."
I got my Dobinsons springs installed. They are the added weight variable coil that is supposed to get you about an inch of lift. I forgot to measure fender lip to hub center prior to the install, but it looks more like a solid 2" of lift. The 265 tires seem a bit dinky now.

I will post some pictures in the next couple of days regarding the ignition cylinder.

Those Rec reps aren’t bad looking IMO, have a ortho-ped / LSB combo thing going, get some covers or get them done I bet they look really nice.

-What JBL sub unit is that? - I still am buying tires & willpower makes me stay off Joey’s site until I buy land (I’m weak, I’ll most likely ’rationalize’ a turbo).

Do you think the price/output from that unit is worthwhile / would you do it again?

It's the Basspro Sl10 Same as Infiniti basslink indifferent clothing. It was DOA from Fry's. Funny thing is, they let me do an exchange for another unit (I had the thing 5 months before I installed it), and the second one was DOA too. For the second one, they were unwilling to work with me. There's an Alpine unit that seems legit, but the wiring is quite a bit different, so I am unsure which way I will go. I'm only looking for a bit of bottom end (like the funny JBL under the rear seat in the Tundra), and these compact ones do get decent reviews.
The seats aren't horrible, but I would love to have them one more "notch" towards 90 degress than they are, but the position doesn't exist.
I still have 5th gen Prelude seats hidden in the garage, now that I scored a welder, maybe I can get those sorted.
Oh, as Murphy's law dictates; the easiest way to find a lost item is to buy the replacement. My "lost" key had somehow worked its way under the floor mat in the Tundra. I had turned that truck upside down too, just never lifted up the floor mat. Sigh.

Updates: while I sit at a job site waiting on an inspector;
Not much going on really. I haven’t driven the cruiser in 3 weeks. I’ve been gathering parts for some rehab/refresh
Knuckle rebuilt kit and tie-rod ends kit both in hand from Kurt and the gang at cruiser outfitters.
I’m gathering pieces for a “new” steering box.
I’m jumping straight to “throw parts at it” for my vague and sketchy steering. The maintenance and general history of my truck are questionable which is why I’m skipping over “inspect and adjust” for some items.
I’m also planning some door refresh items to fix the common slow window issues. I’ll likely install some type of dynamat material when I have the doors apart for window runs.
I’ll probably swap seats again as the Recaro knock offs I installed are not ideal for me.
Oh. Current vin cut key was approaching 50 bucks; 12 something for blank, 15 for a code look up, 15 for key cutting, tax. Something like that. Fun.
I installed another Wit’s end item too.

The weird blue seats I had mounted were “Flo-fit” seats. Pretty common in the Mustang community apparently. Maybe I can get my money back?
I have a random connector in the rear underside of truck that I can’t identify. The EWM is somewhat vague about it as well if I’m reading the dang thing correctly

Basically dead center rear . I read a few older posts regarding tow harnesses, and none showed this guy. Any thoughts?
Also, I have a body ground dangling under the truck near transfer case speed sensor(connected to underside of body but not to any component), Is there s screw/bolt on the TC, or attach to the sensor mount bolt?
I have a lot of stuff waiting to get installed. It looks like I’ll be sheltering in place next week. We’ll see what happens.

So, connector at center rear of truck looks to be related to the oem aux tank which US did not get.
I was able to get my money back for the flofit seats. Win!
I’ve been slowly getting my @SUMMIT CRUISERS Jr diy swing out kit finished up.
I took delivery on Jan 24 2019, I’ve got it to about 98% complete finally. There’s nothing like timely project completion.

for hitch, I cut off the old welded-on home built hitch, made a safety chain plate, cut a hole through the factory cross member, added a new second cross member just forward of factory cross mount, then welded some L steel to the frame with tabs over my new cross to prevent uplift forces.
I have no idea why the receiver tube I ended up with has the huge “Doughnut” around the 2” opening. I had ordered a Curt brand piece, but it was too short. The one I used was offthe shelf from a trailer place we have out here.

There's a "Murphy's law" regarding working on the Land Cruiser the night before an intended trip isn't there?
I finally pulled the trigger on some 285/75/16 meats to mount on the green wheels.
Came home from work and started trying to check some grease points, and check some torque values while truck was jacked up for wheel/tire swap. Right rear was first candidate and a damned lug snapped. I'm sure this is because there have been only 5-1/2 lugs back there since I got it, but still. I'm not tempting fate by rolling on 4 out of 6.
Sadly this led to some inspection of rear brake components, and I think I'm into some rear caliper work as well. The shoes still have some life, but outboard side of caliper was "really" close to rotor, so I'm suspicious of my pistons on that side.
Crap.

Sometimes it's the simple things:
I have been ignoring my check engine light. It was the codes related to rich/lean environment. My O2 sensors are the NTK ones, and they are in the old PAIR location. In the back of my mind, I had wondered if I had swapped the 2 connectors in the engine bay. Well, I finally remembered to switch them around. I went on a rambling drive around town yesterday to see how the new tires felt, and what do you know, no check engine light.

Here the rig sits on the green wheels and 285 Yokohamas. It's a bit of a strange contrast, but I think ultimately will look good against the Monstaliner "whiskey tango foxtrot"

Here's a pile of parts shot. In prep for my first knuckle/axle service. I did the full bearing kit from @cruiseroutfit . I also did new rotors, calipers, pads and caliper to axle soft lines. When I got into the knuckles, there was still grease, just not nearly enough, and I don't think it was the correct type. (It looked like blue marine grease).

I finally got out and did some "wheeling" in the cruiser. Start point is/was Liberty, Wa. Lots of decent trails out there with mixed difficulty and conditions. Overall conditions for the day were hot and dusty.

I definitely did not account for the dust. Depending upon trail direction and wind, I had to drop out of sight from the lead vehicle to retain visibility. There are some tight spots out there. Are you 200 series folks running all of the trails?

I was out

I was out there about a month ago with buddies in 80/100/GX and we hit snow at the end. Made progress but each drift took 30-45 min to bust through

@tbisaacs ; very cool. I didn't see any snow, but there are a lot more miles of trail out there that I didn't explore. I'm still un armored too. I thought I was about to lose a fender flare on one spot, but managed to sneak by, and had one pretty hard "thump" when the rear came down on an elevation change, but it's a good area. I also exposed a pretty harsh "squeal" when the ac compressor kicked on, so I need to trouble shoot that. I'm hoping it's just the idler, and not something more involved.

Has anyone successfully re-built a interior door panel? Is the backer material masonite? That's what it looks like to me. I only have 2 functioning body clips left on the drivers side due to degrading of the backer material (masonite).

Any chance that FJC you went out w/ is sandy blonde guy named Paul? -Snohomish is his town.

If it’s his (or he sold) - the front is all loose & the ARB bumper has hit the fenders a couple times flexing/bumping stuff.
He wasn’t/ isn’t shy on the skinny pedal.

I haven’t talked to him in a few, he was happy w/ it if you were w/ him, but he also just bought a nice LHD D90 Rover last we talked.
It was well taken care of, not some rusty/clapped D90.
