Looks like you could easily put a lock on it now. Perfect for driving through the ghetto of Walt. ;)

LOL

I actually saw one of my workers taking a peek inside yesterday, so I hit the panic button and let the train horns rip

He nearly $h!t himself lol :D

Anyhoo, I didn't like the trailer style license plate light that came with the wings, so I installed an OEM light

Now I just gotta figure out a way to hide the wiring :hhmm:

Very neat, and great fab skills. It would probably take me about 3 1/2 years to do that, and nothing would come out straight. Nice looking rig. :cheers:Ned

Looks good. Way to represent MUD!!

Snake...Great work!

Is that conduit you used for the tubing? If so, looks like you used threaded rod to get a better bite and strength for your weld. Is it pretty strong ang rigid?

Yep

1/2" EMT electrical conduit :)

I made my roof rack out of the same stuff in 1" years ago

I used the threaded rod to hold the pieces together and leave an 1/8" gap between the joints so I can weld on the threaded rod itself and not leave it floating in the tubing.

This makes it easy to keep the welds uniform around the tubing and the beads flush so there's minimal grinding (I hate grinding) ;)

The end result is solid enough to jump up and down on :)

You never have to worry about it rusting due to the coating :grinpimp:

The only drawback is that welding on galvy is the devil

Fumes are a killer!! :o

Nice, i saw you used it on your rack. I like that idea, due to material cost and bending. Did used a regular manual conduit bender?

These is nothing like welding galvanized. I used to do it a lot in Hawaii, i love it when all that white crap starts floating around in the air when welding it.

That is awesome! Great work. Nice rig too!

All of the pieces were leftover 90* elbows and straight tubing sitting behind our spray booth, so they didn't cost me anything

Although, I did have to spring $6 bucks for a length of threaded rod at Ace :o

Yep, and since it was such a small job, I didn't bother to dig out my respirator :meh:

Big mistake cause I was high as a kite by the time I was done

I think you should rhino-line your rims...

I've been thinking doing that to my second set of wheels (older conical style) because these wheels were reconditioned by the dealer before I brought her home and they still look new :hhmm:

Thing is, the second set if for my trailer and I want them all to match, so I'm kinda torn :meh:

Nice mate , lucky you have rear sliding windows so when your driving along one of your mate can jump in the back reach out the window and grab more beers :D

Freaking Sweet!

I always enjoy reading your build threads, you have a knack for making all kinds of cool goodies. I do have to ask though, where did you get the lisence plate surround?

I actually have a couple of mates that would rather use the sunroof lol

I usually make them myself out of scrap sheet metal, but this time around I got lazy and had it done online at 2 Chicks.com

Very strategically placed!
:wrench:
