I picked up my new bumper last night and started the install. Man, there was a ton of sand and dust in the frame. No rust though!

From this morning. Can't wait to get the swing arms on! The lights are on back order. I hope I don't have to remove the bumper to install them!

Swapped in new 555 tie rod ends from Cruiser Outfitters. That took care of the wobbling that it had prior to the upgrade. I still need to rebalance the front wheels to eliminate that high speed shimmy (I hope). There was a nail standing in for a Cotter pin. These seem to be the original 1993 TRE's!

While I was working on the front steering, I decided to swap in some Aisin locking hubs. I'll eventually clean them up and repaint the faces.
yeah Dave the sand and caked dust (fesh fesh) is insane, i got a sewer jetter thing for my pressure washer many years back for a clogged drain issue, i decided to lift the Troopy from the front and work that thing through the frame rails, it was incredible what came out!!!

Does anyone have the dimensions to the tire carrier mounting holes? My truck didn't come with a tire carrier on the door and I need to install a plate for the Cruiser Outfitters @cruiseroutfit swing-out.
ah..unfortunately my company has significantly reduced our flying in/out of Austin. I can send you a letter with a return envelope with stamp.
