Ho no it wasnt from factory ... when I bought the truck engine was blown ... and the one I bought was from a manual. So I just switched the pumps with the complete mounting plate on the correct gear timing ... Started right away and since I had nothing to check it more accuratly at the time I just neglected and ran like that.

Since everybody keep telling how slow these engines are... I didnt mind much.

Glad I did tho 😅

Neato.. now I'm keen on this piezo electric timing light.. they are hell expensive. I do have a Tiny Tach piezo electric pickup - maybe I could Macgyver something up!

Im sure it can be done , there is a 9v battery in the module to make the pulse in the wire where you clamp the timing light .

You must find a way to make the sigal to pulse in the wire 😉 then you get an easy way to accuretly check your timing 🙂

Finally decided to pull the trigger on a set of OME leaf springs and shocks ... my hardware and shackes are not even a year old so I will just buy new bushing and install it 🙂

Meanwhile I ve been working a little more on my rear bumper ... removed the Old hitch from the frame. It wasnt functional anyway 🤷‍♂️.

Planning on doing the wiring for a dual plug 7 and 4 ways ... just in case.

Driver side swing out is getting there , probably done by tonight 😃

The 74 corolla is now sold too... so more room in the garage. Definetly gonna miss that little demon ... But im in peace with the sale and the truck is much more practical .

Goodbye little Corolla , have a good retirement to Hawaii , you made incredibles memories to me and my kids ❤️

Happy with the result 😅

Will try to take a picture of it on the truck . Had a little video but I cant post it 🤷‍♂️

You've done a great job on that rear bar/carrier. Well done!

Thanks !! Maybe I will make a swing out ladder on the other side :)

Still need to paint these bumpers .... The rattle can job is already giving up 😭 🤣

Went on a fishing trip with my daughter :) the truck ran flawlessly except the fan exploded ... No overheating issues on the way back at least .

Still waiting for the suspension to get here I'm getting excited 😊.

Also got me a roof rack from a Land Rover , need modifications but that's not a big concern. Just not sure how wide I want it .

Anyway here's some pictures

Recieved the leaf spring bushings, ordered Polyurethane as the rubber one I instaled last year are already worn out :( Leaf springs should be here tomorrow :bounce:
cant wait to wrench again on that thing. The 4 shocks are bad and the leaf springs are pretty sagged too. I could have streched theire life by switching sides on the rear ones but I rather run some new ones.....

Also ordered new leaf springs pads and will modify my shackles in a way they wont reverse.

next will be the H55F swap if I can ever find one I can afford

The goods came in !!!!

Not a huge difference in height but the ride is so much better.

Plus it was a fun time with old friends

Looks great! Compared to you, my team was slooooww!! Nothing better than wrenching on a Land Cruiser with buds n suds!

Not the way I like to get people to look at my truck ....

Never happened to me before ... The flex plate bolts all got sheared ....

I will need to remove transmission to get them out, so might as well swap a manual ....

Thing is I found a BJ60 that I will part out and use what's under it BUT .... It's a 4 speed .... Price is good so I will buy it anyway and have some spares for the HJ60.

Not sure I want to put the 4 speed in mine ... Fuel milage already sucks .... I would like an overdrive H55F but damn they are rare around here and I'm still missing a Flywheel for my 2h ....

The A440F I have works well ... But I don't really like how slushy she feels so removing it to put it back is not really considered... Anyway still thinking .... Opinions and options are welcomed 🥹

Man, that sucks. How does that even happen?

Just get a 5 speed. You’ll be really glad you did. I’ve driven cross country with both and the 5 speed was a real winner with 4:10s in the diffs and 32” tires. Hardly broke 2500 rpm’s going 70-75 with an overweight load in the back. Granted it was a petrol 2F…

Seem that we used the wrong bolt ... A little too long even if they were tight the flex plate was loose ... They were bottomed out on the torq converter and vibration went through them ...

I really want a 5 speed ... The main problem is to find one ...

At least everything else but the flywheel should be on the running part out truck I'm buying ...

Well ... I hope 😅

The 5 speed is all over the place down here in the states. It’s still available new from Toyota. You should be able to get one up there.

Unless you’re set on finding a used one.
