No Cruiser needs a carb fan. Or a PCV. or vacuum advance. Or an electric starter.
All are fluffy modern conveniences to make driving easier/smoother/better.
If the carb fan is doing no harm, then leave it alone.
The VTV slows the application of vacuum advance, preventing a sudden rise in cyclinder pressure (power) which can cause NOx emissions.During a desmog, this is removed...what was the original purpose, and why is now removeable with a desmog.?

At sea level, with a "HAC less" desmog, it seems that some run the secondary versus the primary dizzy advance port to the carb advancer port.
What is the determining criteria...pinging?
