I had one epidural shot 2 years ago and I still feel good. I have not had another. So far so good. I also had Cataract surgery and a Cornea transplant surgery at the same time. You don't know what you've been missing until you have Cataract surgery. Give it one month and you will be one happy camper. Ouch on the finger.
I know and understand the pain.
Wishing you the best!
Dave

Thanks Dave!! I'm already happy about the cataract surgery and the epidural!! Not so much about the finger. But, it's coing along nicely as well!!

I'll be glad to have the other eye done on the 17th, so I know I'll be on the way to being done.

Dang it Helipilot beat me to it.Hang in there,I have always enjoyed this thread.
Sharp objects are the enemy!

Oh, there are several comments to be made here... none are what you would call breakfast club comments.

I mean, check the finger puppet and consider what uses it might serve...

Mr Wipeit...

Seeing that red ring finger inspired me - this morning I sharpened four knives - been meaning to do that for months!

That was it!! I must still be drugged... I tried to watch the GOP debate last night and none of it made sense.

it wasn't the drugs. Every election season, there are a few candidates that I think should be taken off the wall - the rest, left and shot. This year, I can't stand any of them (well, I do like Carson, but he has as much chance going to Washington as a snowball does in hell). What ever happened to honesty, respect, and public service?

Anyway, rant off - go back to watching the guy build his ark - maybe he'll be done in time to save us from the results of this next election (in the same way Noah saved his family).

Glad you are on the mend Danny. Even that finger is actually on the mend, though it may not feel like it at the moment. Finger tips are sensitive. With a bit of time you'll be as good as new, in both areas.

Don

Thanks Don!! At least the injured finger makes it somewhat less likely that I will poke myself in my new eye...

Yep... and Cruz stood right there, center stage, and blatantly lied about "Carson suspending..."...

Well, I have good new, not so good news and idiot news...

The good news... The cataract surgery was easy and went really well... I already see 20/30 out of my left eye and it will likely continue to improve... The epidural has already helped my back!!

The not so good news... I am not allowed to lift over 10 lbs or risk anything in my eyes, for the next 7 weeks. I finally have all my rear harness connectors and am not allowed to hook it all up until late March. I am not allowed to reinstall the seats or do any of the little things I had planned, until late March... It's been three days and I'm already going nuts...

The idiot news... For Tuesday's epidural, I had a Propofol cocktail (e.g. Michael Jackson drug), for Wednesday's cataract surgery, I had a Fentonol-Versed cocktail, all with instructions NOT to drive, make decisions, etc. for 24 hours. Thursday evening, I decided to make potato chips. I whipped out the mandolin and started slicing... WITHOUT the guard. I sliced away and, then thought, "I'll bet my finger is getting close to the blade". I was right... That very slice took the tip of my ring finger, in my right hand. Of course, Dianna's anxiety kicked in... "Oh my God, you're bleeding to death!!". In her defense, she can't control her anxiety... And neither she nor I, knew just how drugged I still was... 50 hours later.

I stopped the bleeding, bandaged it and taped a vinyl glove finger on it and went to bed. I awoke at 4am with a sticky hand... Blood pouring. I cauterized it as best I could, with a steptic pencil and waited for the local urgent care to open at 8 am. The Dr cauterized it better, wrapped it and sent me off for antibiotics.

I am still sleeping two out of every three hours... Will these drugs never wear off...

The one positive outcome... My potato chips were especially tasty!!

So, no 44 work for awhile... I have pictures of my finger, but will only post the finger puppet

Danny, the doc :princess:says the Propofol cocktail can take up to two weeks to completely dissipate from your system.

what bothers me about that is he's willing to hire people who are willing to do those dirty tricks. but I could go on about all the rest from both parties - and it'll simply make me sad that people are so willing to sell their souls for such drivel.

What bothers me is the blatant lying!!

And remember just because you're feeling better doesn't mean oh I can pickup that rear axle...

Glad to hear you're on the mend!

Thanks Mike!! I got back on that mandolin and made potato chips this morning... Of course, that was before Mike told me Propofol hangs around for a couple of weeks...
Two wings (Republican and Democrat) on the same bird....

They need to be clipped!

I spliced my male 4-pin connectors into my new tail lights... They work, but the shimmering lights and the eyebrow (floater) hanging down over my left eye presented a challenge... As did my sore finger... But, they are ready to install.

I still need to splice in my cargo basket lights, in the back, and my towing lights, in the front... Mark built the harness with both stubbed out, but I'm gonna wait until I'm only seeing one wire at a time.

If it weren't for Chester, I wouldn't have gotten anything done...
