J/K, I have mine mounted on the swing out beer cooler carrier on the rear of my rig.

That's the best shot of mine that I can find right now.

It just so happens that @The FJ Company released this today.

Looks very very nice but accordingly is not cheap. Any chance at a MUD discount? ;)

seems pricey,,,, but if you are the only one to build it,,,,

You don't need that bottom plate. And fabbing up the bracket is very simple - if you use a thicker gauge square tube than I did you can likely get away with one bolt (but I'd rig up a cable of some sort for redundancy should the bolt fail). See my post here:

Here is a shot of it before painting. I welded a tab onto the square tube and then a nut inside of the tube. I got a locking bolt from Amazon for under $10. All in probably cost me $15 - if you have some square stock laying around even less...

nice! how much to make me one?

FJ Mount used to make them. I lucked out and found a really nice used one awhile back from another mud member. It is almost identical to what @ginmtb posted.
I’m not sure that drilling theough the step is really required. This Hi-Lift is on there very solidly but I suppose a low anchor point would make a difference if rock crawling or in an accident.

When I did carry the hi-lift, I welded a bolt to an exhaust clamp and attached to the top of the roll bar. I removed the rear heater so the bottom sat in between the seats and was held in by on of the rear heater bolts. 48" hi lift is short enough to sit vertically between the seats. Kept it clean and safe from theft, but found out a bottle jack and winch is better than a hi lift for almost anything.

Mines mounted to my brushguard. Stays fairly clean and is easily accessible.

I mounted my 48" one inside the truck, behind the pass. seat, against the fenderwell. I don't have photos, but added some tie-down points on the fenderwell to secure it there, and then bungeed it to the roll bar. Safe, clean, dry, and doesn't take up much room. Yes, it could fly around in a rollover accident.

Like others, I have mine mounted inside.......behind the seats. Pictures speak for themselves. With my tilting BMW seats, the jack is easily accessible.
