Sunday Wheeler and Miller can back up and we worked most of the day… Went to the Bar for the rest of it… Probably got a good 6-8 hours into putting up these Trusses, but that included all the layout and all the bracing and squaring up of all the walls… I went better than I thought but still lots of work and I am really glad it is done…

Thanks again for all your help guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hello,

very nice home or garage ... :D

it's a pity that it is if long of Paris, so not I will have come for you help!!!

ciao

I don't know if you are internet savy or not, but a good idea would be to wire it with ethernet cable while you are at it. I just finished my garage and it is the only garage in my "suburb town" that is fully wired. I use it for mud.com when I am out working on the FJ, as well as it can double as phone line. Technology is key, you gotta love it.

Looks Great more Pics.

Thanks.

well I am doing all metal inside so all wiring will be run in conduit on the outside of the walls so it can easily be added to at any time... but I think I will be going all wirless if I get internet out there... I currently do not have internet at my house... I am an accountant so bTT I leave work I want nothing more to do with this computer... :D

So, Aaron, can you get me a deal on the Presidential Suite at your resort? I've got some good inside info that the Prez is not coming, so the suite should be available;)

nice build up :)

and..

nice looking garage, hope you laid some some steel mesh before pouring though...:)

nope just got the new kind of concrete that has fiber already in it... no need to lay wire when having a slab this size.. good up to 1700 PSI.

Dont think we would let him stay anyway... we dont let trash in our resort.... yea I can get you like half off most any room, that is as long as we are not 80% full and I can only book 2 weeks out.. unless I sweet talk the reservations girls... but I will need lots of  to make that happen... not real easy on the eyes... hahaha!!

www.maddens.com let me know if you want to stay here... keep your boat on the water as long as you are here... Mine is on the water also...

oh yea I can get you on the golf courses for free too... but I dont play because golf sucks... but I will ride along in the cart and drink with you...

Let me know dates so I can check for availability... Get your Buddy Poser to take a weekend off and hang out at the lake also!!!

Ok we will talk Lift Tech today... took 2 evenings but my dad and I got my lift in the air and got it all set up... here is a little write up of how we put this thing up...

pic #1 moved both lifts to the edge of the wall...

Pic #2 you can see what we used as a beam to run along the rafters... This is from an old roll in Dock my dad had laying around at his house... dont really know what it was before that... I am sure someone used it to make the dock... well that is 10' long and we used 2x4's to brace it up so it would not tip from side to side...

Pic #3 We measured out everything and layed out exactly where the lift needed to be... remember I have a 15" footing of concrete under them... pic #3 is actually of a chalk line that we used as a Plumbob (spelling???) anyway.. never knew you could use a chalk line for that.... We figured out where to hook the come along to the beam by doing this

Pic #4 this is my dad using the come along to get the lift in postition... we actually lifted them up as you see and then they would slow swing into position... we then slow let them down...

Pic#5 Dad on the other side... Pretty much the same..

Pic #6 I had to get up to finish the second side... see we have two come alongs on there... I ran the main one and my dad would run the second one... we just used that one to make damn sure if somthing happend to the first one that this thing was not going anywhere. :D

Pic #7 This is us getting this thing all leveled up.. had to use a few washers on each side to get it perfect... remember the floor has a bit of a slope in it to get water to the drain in the center

Pic #8 me running the hammer drill... FYI use both hands all the time... Even if bugs are biting you... Had the drill whip around and get me on the shin.... Then like a smart ass my dad says..." yea you should always use two hands" :flipoff2: figured it out the hard way!!! thanks!!! :D Got a huge bruse to prove it...

Pic #9 Looks pretty good... When it is perfect then we will say it is good enough!!!
