got rear ended in the 40 last week........ lucky I have a 4plus bumper.. it saved the truck big time.... no damage to the sheet metal... the lady hit me pretty damn hard. The bumper is bent up a bit... not bad considering. look at the car that hit me :-) cant really see the damage on photos to bumper..

Leaving on the our honey moon in the morning. we decided at the last minute to take the LX450... heading back up to the North shore.

Just stopping in to bump this thread and let you all know I’m still alive and kicking.

Life has moved along a bit since the last time I filled you all in. I’ve moved (still in Pequot Lakes), and my daughter continues to grow up way too fast. She’s now 14 and officially knows everything 😊 She made the school ski team this year and has been traveling all over the state for meets, which has been a lot of fun to watch.

We also added another dog to the mix — Lewiston. Lew is almost 4 now, and Fred is still going strong and will be turning 10 soon. The house stays busy, that’s for sure.

Whenever we can, we’re still getting down to Iowa for some pheasant hunting and trying to make the most of our time outdoors.

Two years ago we bought a small lake cabin in northern Minnesota — something I had dreamed about for years. What was supposed to be a simple bathroom remodel quickly turned into a full gut job. And I mean everything. At this point, only the original trusses and about thirteen 2x4s are still standing.

The project is still ongoing, but somewhere along the way it became more than a renovation. It’s where I go to find peace now.

I still tinker with Toyota junk, but lately I’ve been building out a GX460 since it fits this season of life a little better than the older rigs. I need something I can load the dogs into, keep the girls comfortable and safe, and still head off the pavement when I want to.

Someday I’ll build another Cruiser again… maybe a 70 Series.

Go big or go home! Great update, perhaps we can drive the old junk up this summer when parked in Wisconsin. The cabin looks amazing.
