Anyone here has their climate control unit go bad and replaced already? My other cruiser that I just redid the whole system last april decided to start blowing hot air out of nowhere. I wasnt overheating. Checked the heater valve and its good. Just wondering if its common for the climate control to fail after certain miles/years.

Trying to finish up the plumbing for the rear today. Hopefully I have something to report later.
How's the rear/hose work going? I'm definitely postponing my rear evap until early next year but I'm excited to see you get this up and running!

Look for a crimped (narrowed) area somewhere in the line before the evaporator (typically near a connection). Your O/T should reside there. It will usually be a little ways up the line and might require a removal tool. Sometimes you can get them out with a long pair of needle nosed pliers but you can also screw them up that way.

Heres what i crimped so far. 2 fittings. Two!!!haha. I am routing it on the passenger side. The #10 hose running by the top cowl then snaking down the brake master like the phh route. The #6 hose went down the pass side fender. Looks like i would only have a total of 2 fittings per line after the tee. One at the tee and the other at the rear evap. The rest is hose wrapped in split loom. The reduced barrier hose is flexible enough to bend where i want to route it.

I had to redo one of the hard lines because the angle was wrong and was hitting the pair valve tubes.

@flintknapper @Dissent should i put nylog on the o ring? Reason im asking is i had applied nylog in an o ring accidentally dropped it and found it the next day. It looked like it degraded and became mushy. Easily disintegrated when i squished it with my fingers.

I used Nylog on all my orings. I hope they aren't squishy!

That's looking great, glad to see it in use and understand how flexible that barrier hose is!

I used black for my drier, TXV and evaporator (came with Denso parts) and Green for the condenser.
 
If those aluminum tubes are low side, insulate them when your done. Your condenser will be happier. Looking good so far.
