If the tub is sound you can safely mount a cage without frame mounts but you should not make the floor plates smaller than 6x6. I mount the main hoop to 6 x 7.5, the windshield hoop to 6x7 and the rear to 6x6.
That's a combined 246 sq/in. That's a load of 18.3 lbs per sq/in. Granted, a rollover load is never perfectly distributed to all six pads but even if somehow 100 percent of the load was transmitted to one pad for an instant you would see sheet metal damage such as adjacent spot weld failure but load would then transfer to the other mounts. I would be concerned with the 3x3 pads as they would transmit four times the load to the sheet metal. Even drag cars that see 10 sec 1/4 mile times are required a minimum of 6x6 pads

I have both the wheel well supports as well as the jump seat brackets. I will still be reusing the Jump seat brackets and one of the wheel well supports for the one that won't be tied into the frame. Not sure exactly how it's going to work, but I might end up not using them at all if the plate seems like ample support. Which part were you referring to?
The part in your hand. That is a jump seat bracket? Correct?
At least I know what to call it while searching
