Wow Meziere came through big time, they called me to make sure I was ok, gave me directions to take the pump apart, told me they would pay for shop fees (which I won't need), and then gave me his cell phone and told me to call him up until 11pm if I had an issues getting the pump apart. They are going to replace the pump no questions asked.

Since I had the I/C and water tank out, I figured I would update things encase people wanted to do a similar setup. All of the powder coating has held up great but the EMS ceramic coating has failed on all of the parts that see high direct heat. (turbo, j-pipe, downpipe, etc) the heat shield is still ok. It was free at the time but hindsight being what it is would have sent those parts out to well known ceramic coaters like Swain tech. With everything out of the way I guess now is the perfect time to get those "fancy shocks" on like Christo likes to call them! I am really looking forward to that! I checked all the filters in the meth injection setup and they were all completely clear which was a slight concern when I installed the system since I am asking so much of that tank, but everything seems to be working well.

The zipties are just on the heat wrap over the A/C line. It really isn't that close to the exhaust just looks like it in the picture. The exhaust wrap is held on with stainless wire.
Which AN fittings? The blue and red AN fittings on the turbo supply and return coolant since it is oil and water cooled and in the other picture the black AN fitting on the black hose attaches to the water tank goes to a filter and then to the meth/water injection pump. Without the tank installed it is just kind of laying there.

First time I went to Moab: 70mph winds toppled a tree on to my brand new tent trailer. Thk God my daughter was not inside. My wife was cooking inside. She was banged up but ok. In retrospect I should have sued the rv park for not maintaining their trees but took their offer and moved on.
70 mph is not an average breeze.....

Well if you want to get technical its actually called a "suction low pressure filter" but it's been called a sock on mud long enough for it to be common nomenclature.
Denso calls it a strainer. Toyota always has silly descriptions.

Started the Slee reservoir shock install today before the sun went away and laying on the ground in 30 degree temps was not appealing. Love these things. Just the ridiculousness of the overbuild quality, curious to see if I can tell a difference but it will be several days until I get the water pump back and reinstalled.

Just talked to Pete at Hypertune in Australia, about doing a 1FZ intake. They make some incredible 2JZ and RB26 intake manifolds. He said give him a month or two as they had already had it in mind. It would be a pretty cool setup and make it a lot easier for people that wanted to run A/A intercoolers.

I finally got over there early this week...WOW...I could come out of there significantly lighter in the pocketbook than when I went in. Staff was SUPER helpful and never made me feel like the idiot I usually sound like...lol. Very impressed.
If you do get down here - shoot me pm and I will try and meet you for lunch or something...I am about 25 min door to door from there.
I also finally finished reading your entire thread. Damn. I think I took about 4 pages of notes. Would love to pick your brain about a few things sometime...over beers in Moab, lunch in Golden, whatever might work. Love how you set up your 80 and really appreciate you laying it all out over these past 60 pages...

eff wheel locks that is all I have to say! PO put wheel locks on to keep people from steeling these sweet Lexus dubs I guess and when I bought the truck it was down to only 2. I have always carried the wheel lock key in the Toyota tool pouch and I wanted to pull the passenger front tire off and get these sweet shocks on and wouldn't you know it no key to be found anywhere. So I guess it's time to go buy an emergency extractor or try the old hammer a socket on and ruin it method. lol.

I bought the set of e-Extractors from O'Reilly's and they did not work AT ALL!. When I returned them, the kid behind the counter said: "Yeah anybody that has ever bought those returned them because they don't work." Thanks for THAT! Why the F** didn't you tell me that when I bought them???!!!
Hammer on the socket and don't waste time for anything else. Make sure it's a Craftsman or Snap-On so it can be replaced if it splits the socket! I used a 6-point deep well. Don't recall the size.
Yes they do suck. I had to do the socket trick due to driving off with the key on the bumper. Best mistake I've ever made.
