Well good news! They are going to repair the truck! Kind of bad news is that they are going to fix the dents and not replace the panels with new from Lexus/Toyota panels. Which I can understand. They will be putting in a new windshield and a new sunroof. Sunroof will be from Toyota while the windshield will be PPG with Toyota seal. So that alone covers my deductible. Just going to have to make sure it's good body work and I think all will be good! If you have a nice 80 that you put a bunch of time and money into you might want to call your insurance company and see if they can appraise it or give you a declared value policy.

Trucks has been in the shop going on 3 weeks now. Body and paint have been done almost 2 weeks. Was told the big wait was sunroof and I guess there are only 2 Lexus bronze windows in the country and at a cost of $1200. Lol. So if you need a new window get it fast!

Ugh truck is still in the shop, been waiting on Lexus windshield for almost a month. I guess that is one way to keep mileage low on the old truck. lol.

On a side note, I think I am going to play around with Meth injection just because my Standalone ECU will do it, triggered off of IAT, boost, TPS, or some combination of them so all I need to buy is the pump, and the nozzle and some hose. Should be a fun little project. lol.

Ordered my water/meth parts. I already have the 5-6 gallon system that I fill with windshield washer fluid and use as my windshield washer reservoir as well as my A/W intercooler tank. There really isn't a huge need for the water to meth injection and this is not for more power it is just a safe guard and to keep everything clean. :) I really wanted to check it out on this truck and it will be an added benefit in the crazy 110+ degree temps that can be seen in southern Texas.

I am going to drill and weld in an AN6 fitting to the top half of my A/W reservoir, that gives me 2.5-3 gallons for the water/meth injection while leaving 2.5-3 gallons for the A/W intercooler which I don't want to ever run dry. I am sizing the system quite small so I would expect it to last a long time.

I was looking at the Haltech P2000 and the triggers for water injection are going to be RPM, boost pressure and IAT. I am going to start with 2500rpms, 7psi of boost and IAT's over maybe 115 degrees F. All 3 conditions need to be met to trigger the pump, I will adjust after I see how the system lasts.

I did not want to order one of the kits, because you really get bent over on some of the cheap parts.

I sourced a made in the USA pump, that is set for 220psi

Going to start with a 160cc/ml per minute nozzle mounted post intercooler about 12" from the IAT sensor and 16" from the TB.

Pump will be wired up to a weather pack relay that is trigger by the Haltech like I said based on the conditions of RPM, Boost and IAT

Using a simple one way check valve to prevent any leaks when not triggered

Thanks Dominican FZJ80, the dog doesn't get out too much anymore unfortunately he is about 14 years old this year. Such a great dog. He is a Jindo, that I rescued and I could only hope to get as lucky when he passes and I get another dog. He has been my best buddy for over 12 years, probably 20 states and tens of thousands of miles.

Already thinking of a couple changes going to add an inline filter between the tank and the pump as well as replace the lowside checkvalve and use a checkvalve for the high pressure side.

Man, i just hope this doesn't turn out like bjowett! I still can't forgive him for doing all that awesome hop-up work to his 80 then pretty much selling it and moving on never to be seen again. I want to see you out driving and using this thing! Come on man!

He would never do that. I mean look, he will be buried in his 55...er, wait. I mean...don't be BJOWETT!

Hey now I use it a lot! Over 20,000 miles in the last 2 years, and that was with 3 other cars. Now that I am just down to the LX and LS and probably going to sell the LS, it will see lots of use! Another reason I want everything to be just right.
