I've got generators with a regtangler sticker and a oval metal tag with a couple of rivets holding it on. May have a tag or two on original starters also. Is someone trying to make these?
While I know most of you think I'm a horder I have seven Land Cruiser with production dates earlier than 1963. Not sure I'm anywhere close having seven of any of the considered rare parts.
...a NOS floorboard I found in my girlfriends attic...
Tom
How did you pull that off? You must have some sort of prerequisite for girlfriends. "...if you have relatives that owned a Toyota dealership in the 70's or a good sized Land Cruiser parts hoard a definite plus!" Mike
the ones with the rivets in it might be hard to make and how would we replace the rivets ? if no rivets anything can be copied I have a lot of resources
I even the oval metal ones could be made as stickers and replace or suck on top of the old tag. anyone with a 63 FJ25 parts book would also have the correct old part number to use instead of what is on a newer tag. My lastest parts books appear to have both old and new part numbers for the early FJ40s. With a way to cross reference both old to new and new to old. I believe the generator with the metal tag the part number starts FJ40. It was sometime around mid 63 Toyota switched to the standard ten digit part number they still use today. But anyone who owns a earlier one may want to use the old part numbers. I should be able to provide those numbers. To bad your local Toyota dealer can't help you out with anything before 3/69![]()

Tom
Mine starts fj4027000 I can make it into a sticker if you want ?
Thanks for the offer. Not sure if mine is really that bad. This is a picture of mine from a old thread https://forum.ih8mud.com/fj25-owners-group/265942-replicated-denso-tags-generators.html
Looks about the same as yours.
Man Tom that is some awesome stuff! I have never seen a NOS early 40 running board before
Can you hook me up with the name of your company that does the diamond patern mat? I could use some myself.
Thanks
JP
By the way nice score on the early bows. How about pictures of the doors. Do they have the canvas covering. You will need to find some canvas to match. That is unless you find a brand new replace top in a box in the attic. With the way your luck is going I would take another look. Are you thinking of selling the old stuff?

JP, there is a place in NY city that sells that mat in small sections. I do not remember their name, but a quick search found this; Pyramid Mats are Rubber Pyramid Matting by American Floor Mats , which might be easier for you to find.
Hope this helps![]()
