living in the past

I'm learning every day about this car of mine thanks for the heads up on the light socket just one more thing that I have to find now!

Not sure what I'm going to sell at this point. You do know the models with tailgates did not get rear step. Those had a trailer light socket and pintle hook. They show them in the owner's manual.

Have a problem Johnny our printer scanner is out of ink and shows a error code which has it locked up until ink is replaced. Not sure we want to waste money on ink when we hardly ever print anything. Worst case my wife can scan it at work next week. The bows look close to the original except for the B pillar. The doors are two piece and come apart. The piecing is about half of what it cost to buy a OEM soft top for a stripped FJ40 model.

OEM Jack

Old OEM jack. Not sure where I got it or how long ago but it's pre 63 part number.

that is too cool john!! never seen one before

This one is also different in that the bottom side rolls up both front and back. My other ones only roll up on the end you crank on. My 65 FJ45LP-B had the original jack and I noticed I had another like it except the other one had phillips screws while the 65 still had straight head screws. Now if I could just remember where I got it. The only reason I know which one came in the 45 is because the PO had painted it black along with all three pieces of the handle. I'm beginning to think ths may have been the last FJ25 I bought. Which was also the oldest one.:meh:

So Sean are you planning on making more of these and the other large Toyota emblem? Also what is the status of the early turn signal lenses? Any updates?

the "mother" emblem is in the works for reproduction as we speak, the large "Toyota" emblem has not been discussed yet and the remaining order (12 complete sets/48 pieces) of lenses should be here within 10 days.
