They have already started the mould. They will be made with four back ground colors that we have confirmed. Red, Black, Off White, and all chrome. Samples are supose to be ready in about a week.

Mike, appreciate the initiative, but please consider a limited run to take care of the very few people that are missing these. As with the t-bird, if everyone is sporting one.......it really isn't a treasure anymore.
Just saying, doesn't bother me either way.

I can totally appreciate this perspective. It is a one and only run. A few of each color. I dont think there is a huge market for these. But I just cant help but to make something that I need(want) and cant get. Especially when Im not the only one.:meh:

Here are some samples...

The story behing this is a fellow Cruiserhead ( Steve ) bought a 64 FJ45 SWB in Nor Cal for 1500 buck years this is the speedo that was in the truck. since the needle was broken he swapped it out and held onto it. Well at this years 45 Run he donated it as a raffle prize. Ken won the bag of early goodies I about fell out of my chair when I saw it. :bounce::bounce::bounce:. After some drooling time Ken gave it to me. I am working on a few projects but the bottom line I will build a Cruiser around this Cluster if I have to.

This was the highlight of the trip,it was great to see Ken hand over a rare piece, and it was just meant to end up with Rob. I think Ken has some cruiser karma comin his way! And for you guys that were not there, falling out of a chair, hardly describes the way Rob felt . Good stuff, glad the so cal crew made it home safe! Now for some rest pics!

:D
That is a super cool find and a great story. Just curious if the back has a date code on it, they were usually done in with a black stamp.

Now start the quest for the correct speedo face....................... :)

The new old emblem looks great, but the Tbird looks more "centered" ...so I vote Tbird

Centered as top to bottom or from side to side? Side to side is off just a little to the passenger side. The T-bird hole shows just a little on the driver's side. Top to bottom it's really close to be centered. The picture of the T-bird was taken after removing the red emblem and the T-bird covered the emblem holes no problem. No harm no foul.

That's a tough call, the red pops on the white but the tbird looks just as good.

Kind of torn myself between the two. I purchased the Toyota emblem for a earlier FJ40 going to restore in sulfur yellow. Plan on painting the "LAND CRUISER" in the bezel to match the emblem's red. Just trying to decide if I need another oval Toyota embllem.

could you really have too much stuff

it is a tough call on the bird or oval...you could flip a coin and do best out of 5 to make it fair :D ... you could always do rock/paper/sizzors/shoot ... however...my kids would win your truck then...they're good :)

:hhmm:....
....would fix the T-bird on workdays and switch to the Toyota emblem on
saturdays & sundays ;)
Cheers
Peter

To be honest I have thought about doing just that. Only take a couple of minutes to switch. But would have to decide if I wanted another red one or different color. Maybe my the time I finally decide Mike will be sold out and problem solved.
