4runner is not the mini, can't wheel it the same. Just sayin' 
I'm pretty sure I just got the regular ones. The main body of the slider and the stand offs are square tubing so I'm pretty sure you are just upgrading the rub rails anyway. Could be wrong, not versed on fab stuff.

Clearly the 4Runner will not ever be wheeled like the mini. BUT, if you're coming down off a ledge or in between some tall rocks it's entirely possible you could come down hard on one. Most likely will be just pushing and pivoting but for the price difference why wouldn't I want to get the better ones?
I got the DOM ones and at GMP I came down on the first inch of the square tubing and it tweaked up into the body and dented it a decent bit... So get/weld any extra supports you can haha

Similar to what happened to mine on the mini. They were welded and had 4 supports per side (I think). Came down REALLY hard on a rock and bent the slider. It caved in the DOM tube a little bit as well. BUT, it didn't contact the body (not that it would have mattered on that truck).
This is exactly my concern with the bolt ons (
). If I come off a rock or something are they going to deflect enough where it will contact the body? I'm very seriously considering getting weld on ones. I don't want to wait for like 3 months though.
It would've mattered if they were weld on or not. No unbolts failed or anything, It just needed another foot right on the front of the slider so they can't jerk up. And if it matters that much you can always weld the white knuckles to the frame just like any weld-ons haha. (If you don't want to pay, ping me and we will miller 211 them thangs to the frame).

Haven't made any progress. I went to try to go wheeling last weekend but it was just a sloppy mess. I was NOT impressed by the new "Telllico" park. I'll give it another try when it's dry but I def won't ever go in the wet again.
Next on the list is modding my new exhaust so it doesn't hang down so low. I hate to cut up a ~$900 (retail) exhaust especially because it's so rare but I'm going to end up ripping it off if not. I'm just going to unbolt the one side where two pieces clamp together but the other side is going to have to be cut.
Still looking at getting a compressor. I need one bad. When I went last time I intentionally didn't air down all the way because I didn't know if there was air close by. Well I was right and I had to drive quite a ways on windy mountain roads to get to some air. I don't want to do that again.
Then I need to make a decision on some sliders.

I have the same (Viair 88P), and it's seems really solid. Much better duty cycle than the other inexpensive compressors...
Got it for $66 from Summit Racing. Bought a 6ft extension air hose from Amazon for $4, makes it easy to hit all 4 tires.

How does that hold up to airing up 4 big tires though? I feel like even the ARBs struggle by the 3-4th tire.
^^^ Hard to say...I've only used it on 4 boat trailer tires...but it didn't break a sweat there.
Reviews are all good - It says "for up to 33-inch tires". I'm running a little less volume than most, with 255/80-17's...so I expect it will do just fine.
I'll report back once I have a better review (in a few weeks), if you're still in the market at that point.

the new ARB dual compressor is very nice, filled up 285s pretty damn quickly. Not as fast as CO2, but pretty close.
This is similar to the one I have. It aired up several tires before we left GMP last fall and still seems to work fine.

My cable and fuse holder needs a little attention, but I have had it for nearly 10 years. Not 10 years of heavy use, but it seems to hold its own just fine.
Mine is actually a MasterFlow as reviewed by the all-mighty ZUK many years ago, but the case and coloring is soo similar I am guessing they are likely the same.

I used it to top off a 35 and it didn't take long. I haven't done a set of 4 tires from low pressure, though.
Same here. I have no complaints of this except that I wish the hose were a few feet longer, in which case, this would live on my fender well in the engine bay.

That's my concern. Airing up four 33s from 12 psi to 40 psi is a serious workout.
Whichever one I choose is going to live in the space behind the air intake box. I've seen a lot of 4Runners with them mounted there. I know an ARB with the air up kit will reach all 4 tires.

When the time comes, I'll wire up two comps in that space, with the proper check valves and plumbing. Shame, there isn't any room for a York under the hood, like my 80.
