We don’t currently have them packaged with the AISIN hubs only but as we get caught up on full kit orders, it is something we could consider.

I'm very curious about this approach as well and how much effect of would have on the drive line and life of the CV's. It also gives you the advantage of disengaging a hub if you break a CV on the trail. .
I'm also interested in just running the hubs without the entire part-time conversion. I would likely pretty much never run it on the street with the hubs disengaged, but if I ever have a CV/front diff issue while off-road, I can just unlock the front hubs and pull the driveshaft and I'm ready to go. Maybe a small chance of that ever happening, but I hate the thought of having to pull the drive flanges off and leaving all the bearings and crap semi-exposed as I try to work my way back off the trail I managed to break on.
I have an 06, so in order to run it in 2wd on the street, I'd need to do without stability control, which I rather like. I'm not sure how much less wear there would be if you ran it disengaged - certainly torque steer would be gone, but you'd be running the the center diff lock always engaged. No idea if that matters from a wear perspective or not.

You would still have to pull your front driveshaft, I am pretty sure. Otherwise with the CDL off you wouldn't be able to move (all the rotation to the broken CV), and with your CDL on all your front driveline rotation will go to the broken CV side despite also getting roation to the rear axle. I have the full PT kit, so by disengaging the t case and unlocking the hubs I can remove any rotation in the driveline. I think the only advantage is you wouldn't have to pull your drive flanges. I don't know that I see alot of benefit in the hubs only. I do see some benefit in the spool only, to go to a rwd/4wd setup. In either case the only way to stop the front driveline from spinning is the full setup.
I underestimated how the system will react to the unlocked hubs only as the traction control would go haywire, is that correct? If so my idea of the front hub disengagement is totally unobtainable without having to deal with the other components, too.

Traction control doesn't go 'crazy' per se, it just is disengaged when you lock the center diff, which you would have to do if you unlocked the front hubs without converting the transfer case to part-time. Our trucks just have a standard open center diff so power goes to whichever wheel has the least traction - in the 'unlocked front hubs' example, it would be either front end axle. Locking the center diff solves that problem, but turns off traction control, so if that's important to you (I prefer to have it), then it's not much of an improvement.
It does still allow for slightly easier limp-mode if you damage your front driveline somehow, but you would still need to pull the front driveshaft to avoid spinning the damaged front axle right along with the rear.

During the initial testing of these hubs we ran this with out the T-case spool and it was great. keep in mid that you will need to lock the center diff during the times that you have the hubs turned out and want that 2WD. Earlier Tacomas with drive flanges and any cruiser with drive flanges and a Spool are in a similar configuration where the front Diff and CV's are spinning due to road friction rather than driven by the power train.
just the hubs are useful also in the case of a blown front diff where you can turn them out and drop a drive line to limp home and still be all sealed up rather than pulling drive flanges.
I do carry a spare drive flange in case of a hub failure.

@cruiseroutfit are these in stock? I’m installing Harrop front and rear lockers and re-gearing, might be as good as time as any to do this.

Would have saved a little time but he still needed to be dragged & winched out of the goat trail we were on- def would have saved pulling wheels, spacers, and prop shaft.

I can neither confirm nor deny.
I just got my P/T kit from Cruiseroutfitters and I'm excited to get going on the installation. I'll admit, I'm nervous to crack open the transfer case. If anyone has last minute advise on the installation, I'm all ears.
I also have a question about how the system operates once installed. If I remember right, the center dif locker will engage at any speed. So, as long as my hubs are locked, can I engage four wheel drive as I'm headed down the highway and it starts to get covered in snow? Or do I have to pull over and shift into park? More simply stated, can you engage the transfer case while rolling, in gear, or do you have to stop and put it in neutral?

If you leave your front hubs locked and drive around with center diff unlocked then you can switch to 4WD mode on the fly, at any speed - just by hitting the CD lock switch.
A word to the wise, locking center diff splits power 50-50 front and back. On dry pavement that definitely causes driveline to bind and increases wear/tear. Also, 4WD is less suitable for icy/slushy conditions than the AWD mode that 100 series have from factory.
