Sorry if this was already posted somewhere... it sure looks like they are ready to sell these now. I wish I had the bucks to invest in one.... I just spent $1500 on new tires ;(

Speed costs money. How fast would you like to go?
IMO better alternatives for that kind of money, but it's not aimed at that kind of demographic - more toward those who will spend the money for something that bolts right on and will be reliable. But we knew that. :flipoff2:
Fast (wait, we're talking about a Land Cruiser here, right? :flipoff2: ), reliable, cheap - pick two

Hasn't that been the MSRP for the TRD S/C forever? Doesn't seem out of line with the rest of the industry.

Any thoughts from the Shaman as to whether this previously extinct, albeit possibly overpriced, S/C is available again? Or are we just admiring a picture on a website that has failed to be updated recently?

The rumor mill was that LC had designed their own for sales in the Middle East where demand is through the roof but that they wouldn't be able to sell it stateside due to emissions and other issues.

I saw the same thing and called LC last week. It's an old page but they are taking names to gauge interest. If you're interested send them an email and let them know. The bigger the list of names the better the chance it'll be re-introduced. -In theory.

LC has had my supercharged 80 at their shop since October. They tore it apart and are tooling it to be reproduced. They are also adding some other goodies to it as we speak.

The rumor about the overseas contract is not correct even in the slightest. If you call John in the r&d department he can tell you all about it.

They know there is interest. Enough to replace my blown H/G for free just to have my truck in their shop. It was a trade. They replaced my HG for free, did some headwork, injector work and in the meantime they got to have my supercharger going on four months now.

They are working their butts off on this thing. When I get it back it should run like it was intended to.

That's a long time w/out your 80 but I imagine there are many of us who would gladly trade places with you :)

As a matter of fact, if they for some reason need a '97 LX for "testing purposes" I'd be more than willing to let them at my rig :D

A real long time. It was supposed to be a two month project, but they have been great to deal with.

Intercooler?!?:hhmm:

Very interesting. I'm planning on purchasing an 80 later this year. Looks like I need to save a little extra money :D

Damn makes TURBO's seem cheap in comparison.

At least for what you get.
