Boggles me that someone would want to lease a Lexus GX 460. IMO, it’s not that great (very out dated) especially for the money. My understanding is the big draw of the GX 460 (lexus/toyota in general) is reliability…but if you’re only keeping it for 3-ish years on a lease, kinda defeats the purpose. Idk that’s just my opinion though.wow 55%
what do you think a 75K to 80K GX550 would lease for per month ??
And that’s one of the reasons you see such high lease vs own percentages on LR, RR, Audi, BMW etc. Nobody wants to be on the hook for the depreciation or maintenance once they are more than 3-4 years old and out of warranty.Boggles me that someone would want to lease a Lexus GX 460. Talking to Dan last week he figured the 250 was basically the same size as his 80.Yeah, I wish that it had stayed a bit smaller. It is apparently closer to 100/200 in size than the 150.
When were these in Moab? I was there the first couple of days of Oct.
I lease at least one of our vehicles because if I don’t, every single dollar I don‘t pay on a lease, I pay in income tax. I’d far rather have something for my $1,000 per month than give it to the idiots in the nations capitol. They get enough from me as it is.
I hope that’s correct, but from what I’ve seen the width is about the same as the 200. I work downtown and park in a narrow parking garage, so width is one of the main issues I have with the 200.Talking to Dan last week he figured the 250 was basically the same size as his 80.
You don't buy a vehicle for an investment, but the money you don't spend on a vehicle can leave cash left over for investments or other life essentials.Your Bucks Your Truck should be the prevailing viewpoint unless you are also involved with earning them bucks.
Anyone buying any vehicle as an investment is a nitwit but has every right to be one. But kudos or condolences for only being in a 20% tax bracket.![]()
Exactly. (Although certain vintage vehicles do appreciate steadily, and I make my living from a segment of that). I’m in a 47% bracket. Of every dollar I earn after Q1, only $0.53 comes to me if I don’t have expenses to write off. Even with extensive write offs, I still wrote a low/mid 5 figure cheque for my share of fueling the juggernaut last tax season.Your Bucks Your Truck should be the prevailing viewpoint unless you are also involved with earning them bucks.

And you don’t know the tax laws where everyone else lives. I’m sure your point is valid FOR YOU, but not necessarily for others. You just don't understand tax planning.![]()
I doubt a measuring tape was in hand, but the man knows his Cruisers better than 99% of us, and he’s the only one I’ve talked to that has seen the 250 in the same room as everything from 40s to 100s. Let’s hope it’ the right size for you. My choice is between a T4R and the 250 when I replace my Tundra in late spring. I’ll be happy with either, but I’m hoping the 250 is closer to my Gen 1 Sequoia in size.I hope that’s correct, but from what I’ve seen the width is about the same as the 200.

You just don't understand tax planning, its the equivalent tax rate, after deductions, that matter.![]()
