what was the last year for the solid front axle in the toy truck 4x4's

1985 modle year.


In 1986 the pickup and 4runner recieved that great ifs system...

while this may be true, i'm missing the great part......
 
1985 is correct for the USA. Over seas they had solid axles until around 1994, bastards.

Yeah, But the Electric Lockers are still yet to be availible on Hilux's and Prado's in Australia. :ban: :censor:

Australia actually got the front live Axle until 1997, But only on the Single Cab.
The front live Axle was availible on the 4Runner and Crew Cab until 1988, And 1993 for the Extra Cab.

Crew Cab. There's another Ozzy truck we didn't get until in the Tacoma last year, but only with an auto tranny. And I won't say anything about Prado. Glad to see there is some stuff we have that you don't.
 
my 95 pu has a straight axle :) but I had to cut off that "great independant front suspention"
