I've been using my drawers since February in unfinished form. Finally decided to stain them. This is my first attempt at staining wood and really happy with how it came out. Great product @cruzerDave .

Looks great @alpine357! Is that the same gunstock that @KINGER used, or something different? Did you poly over the stain?

And a quick headsup to anyone else planning how to customize their drawers - I've added a section to the website listing every customization I could find thus far, to help you decide what to do. I provide links for you to purchase from, but do not stock/sell them myself - garage is too small ;)

Link here: Land Shark Outfitters and looks like:

@cruzerDave Wow. I just spent about 20 minutes going through your entire website. It is so user friendly and informational with little bits of fun in there. Cant wait till im back in the country and back to cruiser mods as these drawers are on my short list! Just wanted to say how awesome the site is and I cant wait to see what else you come to offer.

Lol, thank you ;)

I want the Customize section to be a resource for anyone looking to build drawers, and hope everyone sends their mods, tips, and ideas so the section can grow and grow. I really believe drawers should be accessible, personal, and affordable - they are just so d*@# useful everyone should have a set

As for next products, I'm learning through my struggles to get Remora into production (cost issues & personal bandwidth) not to comment anymore on what's next, but trust me there's stuff in the pipeline no one has ever sold for any vehicle, and they'll be coming to the 100 Series first! (with possible compatibility for 80 or 200...)

Can anyone help me with some measurements? I am trying to figure out what size dog crate can go on top of the drawers. Could someone provide a measurement from the top of the drawer to the roof?

I saw a post back in the 300s where someone said they were not able to put their crate in there but I am just trying to get some rough dimensions to see if mine will work.

Thanks!

There are 2 dimensions, not sure which you want: the height between the top of the drawers and the bottom of the rear door jamb is a safe 27". That tapers at the edges of course, but for a good 18-24" in the middle something 27" tall would slide in and out.

Once inside the roof is higher, and if you could tip whatever on its side and slide it in and stand it up or put it together inside you could fit something 31" tall in the middle. Again, as you can see on your rig as well, the roof tapers, there is a light, maybe an aircon, etc...

If you need anything else drop me a line through the website & happy to help.

Just add 10.25" (the height of the drawers as listed in the FAQ) to the height of your desired accessory (dog crate in your case) and hop in the back of your Cruiser with a tape measure and see if it'll fit.

After a year of far more success and fantastic customer feedback & support than I would have ever believed possible, here I am still selling drawers. I gotta say, I did NOT see that coming when I hit [POST] back in August, 2016...

BUT, the news today is this:
with a year of data to rely on I am now transitioning from batch-based manufacturing of KISS Drawers to a traditional business model. Order online through a proper shopping cart, and drawers ship to you in 2-4 weeks. Note that right now the store says 4-6 weeks, but that is to accommodate unplanned hiccups as I and my suppliers iron out any wrinkles in the new system, not what I really expect to need. This will provide customers their drawers sooner, relieve stress in my supply chain, and <hopefully> smooth out this whole roller coaster ride.

Now that I have a proper shopping cart, the Chum Buckets are also for sale (Chum Chili Dog, Chum Dog, & Chum Fries, with others coming soon),
chum-all-350.jpg

as well as the Shark Bite and a sticker that adds 1-2" of ground-clearance*.

And my apologies to those following and asking about Remora - it took a back seat to the e-commerce system and bags, but with those coming online it will now get some love and you can expect it for sale soon.

Time to start making your Christmas lists, and thank you to this great community!

*adds ground clearance through the same technology used by racing stripes to add hp - your results may vary

Would anyone be interested in a complete kitchen drawer replacement?

I suggested to Turtleback Trailers that their kitchens would fit awesome in the drawers Dave made. After some brain storming they are working on making a slide out unit that would fit one side. (Still in planning)

I started a separate thread but figured to get some traffic and ideas I would share it here.

KISS Drawer kitchen concept

to clarify, you are talking about a kitchen set up from TT that would drop into or replace one of the KISS drawers correct? I'd be interested, not a definite buyer, but it looks like their set up would be pretty easy to rotate. I guess I'd put the sink farther out and the cook-top inboard? anyway, I'm interested in seeing what that would look like.

Does anyone have a photo of the single drawer installed in the back with one 3rd row seat in? I am really considering this option so I have the ability to pop a 3rd row seat in and out.

I pulled my rear seats when i installed mine, but it looks like this would work just fine. I can double check measurements tonight if it would help...

That's correct. They are currently working on rotating it. It would replace the drawer, not fit into it.

That's cool news Dave!

Getting around to posting a pic of my (99%) completed drawers finally:
