King Off-Road Racing Shocks - 80 Series...Finally got them

They were a little pricey, especially considering what an 80 is worth, but the quality is definitely there. They go on tomorrow and I'm very eager to try them out...impressions to come, but here is some King pr0n to hold everyone over.

**UPDATE WITH PRICE**
Front: $1087
Rear: $1034

Each above price is for a front or rear set (2 shocks per set)

I ordered directly through King and just went with their default setup. With no baseline, I figured I'll go with default and go from there. This set is based around 2.5" shocks with 10" stroke. The optional compression adjusters give 22 click adjustability. People with 5"+ lifts may want to consider a 12" shock.

He says if we want to do a group buy 5+ sets he'll take $200 off of a full front and rear set.

If you're interested, talk to Kellan Meadows at King. He is also one of their Racer Support Techs so if you have specific valving requests, he is the one to talk to.

Wowzas! Nice.

I opened this at work and gasped so loud my colleague in the next office asked what I was looking at.

Really nice.

Very nice!!! They sure look expensive.

This thread needs a warning label on it, because those are seriously cruiser pron. Very nice indeed. Where did you get them?

Sorry about the crappy pics...didn't feel like getting on my hands and knees in the rain.

Initial impressions...beautifully damped. I only had a chance to drive around LA city streets, but as the rest of you LA guys know, these streets are rougher than some trails I've been on.

The Kings smother the high frequency jiggles that were there before and speed bumps are dispatched with one nice smooth stroke...zero oscillation. I'm surprised that they didn't add any stiffness considering how hard they are to compress (I couldn't compress them off the car with my entire weight on them). I'm running them at full soft all the way around, but I'll start playing around with them at some point.

Initial thoughts are VERY positive...combined with TJM progressive springs, they ride like a dream. They have that smooth, syrupy feel that you used to get in older Mercedes'.

I'm really excited to see how they feel at speed on road and off.
