Just saying that everyone will have a different feel for what the "perfect" setting will be that is all

finally another owner from socal except me lol. i was wondering how they do in whoops? im really thinking of buying the exact same kind! lol

I know this is an old thread but how are the shocks holding up. I really wanting to put these on my 80. I'm in San Diego maybe we could meet up for a drive.

Yep 2k is not bad. Same price as Icons. My radflo were about 500 cheaper. At this price point 500 cheaper is not that much. The King look a little more "bling"for sure than the radflo. I have no idea if it is worth the 500 difference but it might be. King does have a solid reputation for sure. 200

Bump any more feedback? I need to improve (pimp) my ride. OME not working for me.

Thanks for all the info so far

OME is just for dirt roads and that’s about it but at the price point it’s not bad at all if you have proper amount of weight.

I just put my 2.5s on and they are cats meow and I got the cheapest one with no adjuster and basic euro valving....possibly cheapest King’s 2.5 config.

On the road they are firm like OME but feels a lot smoother, has that euro feel to it like a BMW or Benz like ride, really impressive. Guess that’s why it’s call the euro valving. On the trail they are really impressive even though I didn’t do much more than some medium difficulty trail with a bunch of dirt roads, they ate up the bumps really nicely with awesome body motion control. No blowing through travel or any sort of bucking. Again nothing big or fast but man they are pretty amazing.

Think mine were 1850ish From King’s direct but I had to pay tax, pretty much same as everyone else. But King’s Reputation is well deserved even though I haven’t had them for long.

@Qball this is exactly what I'm looking for. Do you have a link to that setup or do I call them and chat about weights and ride height measurements? Did you get into valving at all?

Thanks again

Just call them direct, all you need is to tell them you have an 80, which options(adjustable compression or not), weight(per axle), travel amount(0-2, 3-5, 6)and valving preference. They have euro soft and heavy I think but they will walk you through it. You can add as many options as you can think of really, think you might even able to add bypass. In hind sight I probably should of gotten the adjustable ones even though I don’t like to tinker with it but that comes with more bottom out protection I think. Even with my cheapest config it still comes with dual stage compression/flutter valve if I remember correctly. The compression really ramps up at the end of stroke, that should work really well with progressive springs when I eventually get the 3 inch progressive springs like the slinky.

Every set of King’s shock is custom built to order, there is no off the shelf king’s That I know of so you can go to town if you want.

I have the 3-5" Euro "Heavy" and I feel its too stiff even on the softest setting. F/R bumpers (no swing) and sliders. Not much else.

I don’t have rear bumper but one low profile drawer and fridge. My LX is 6100lbs with 3100lbs at rear axle.

My guess is that your springs are a little too stiff for your weight, what springs are you running and how much weight you have?

Slinky 75 INT. I’d estimate 6100ish as well. Spare and tools is it in the back.

It’s not horrible. But was expecting a little smoother.

Toyo MTs at about 30psi. Prob take em down to 26-27 as it’s not my daily.

You should have or close to have good amount of weight. If ride is too stiff it usually means your springs are too stiff for the weight, one thing I would try is load up a bunch of weight and see. I have a 12k winch in the arb front bumper, that’s solid 60-80lbs extra.

However I’m not sure your definition of smooth because while I think mine is very smooth but that’s based on it’s a SAS truck on 35s with worn out bushings, it will never be as smooth as my LS but I still think it’s really smooth.
