After test fitting and taking Our new KDSS relocation kit on the trails of Uwharrie for 2 days, it's ready for production.

Our Kit moves the front KDSS sway bar 1.5" forward (an additional 1/2" more than other KDSS relocation brackets), and encompasses a LCA Skid plate/ End Link support to keep the new longer end link bolt in double shear.

The kit includes everything you need to install.

2 - LCA skids
2 - Frame side KDSS relocation brackets with hardware
2 Custom Spacers for the factory LCA end link pockets
Longer Grade 10.9 M15-1.5 Bolts
Custom length carriage bolts for the LCA Skid

This gives you the maximum allowable room for larger front tires.

The first run of kits will be $650

Well done!

This may be the missing link for LCs. To get into both big and fat beef. Can you confirm if 35x12.5s will work? Maybe even 37s?

I’m running 285/75-17’s at the moment…
I plan on getting a set of 35/12.5”-17 to try and have access to a set of mounted 37”s on 0 offset 17”s…
I’m confident on the 35’s, but skeptical on 37”s… (pretty sure at least a 1” body lift will be required for 37”..)

The right offset and maybe other mods may be needed…such as a trim of the plastics.. but time will tell.

If you look at the last picture there is heaps of room on the right side KDSS arm…
I did stuff it to the extent of travel this weekend with no issues..

Forgot to add that these are built in the North Carolina, USA

We are also going to try a version of the Frame mount bracket which flips the bolt down to make it easier to install, that was one thing we noticed could be improved on when installing it for the first time. You are installing a fine thread G10.9 M8 into an Aluminum bracket so you have to be a careful not to cross thread it, flipping it and adding threads on the inside to hold the bolt in place would mean you would simply be threading on a nut/Hardened washer while positioning the KDSS bracket. That should simplify the hardest part of the install... and it would come with the bolt already installed in the bracket.. we will see if that works/makes sense for a production revision.

I will have instructions as well in the next few weeks but it is not too hard, I would suggest a jack and a racket strap to help position the sway bar... more to come on that

Any chance you’d sell just a set of the KDSS relo brackets? I have a pair of 6061 aluminum blocks I keep meaning to drill and tap but keep forgetting to do it before it gets cold.

Pre-ordered 👍. Excited to see the final production revision that will be shipped out.

I just installed skinny 35's on zero offset wheels 2 weeks ago, and was trying to avoid the KDSS relocation brackets on the market because of the binding of the end link bushings and have been super excited to see that this was in development.

It's not very often that you have a problem that gets solved by a new product release 2 weeks later!

Installing 35x12.5-17 ridge grapplers on Wednesday….

Should be no issues
I took these shots today with the wheel cranked all the way over on both sides to check clearance.
Effective offset is 18.25 using RW + 1.25” spydertrax spacers.

How much does the orientation of the KDSS ram change from stock? Any concerns with the new geometry impacting its ability to put force into the arm and therefore swaybar?

And does the forward connection between the arm and bar clear the body mount bolt? When flexed up (driver front tire dropped out) I got contact with the bar in the stock position but the increased travel from King 2.5's. Can't recall whether the bar moving forward would exacerbate this or make it worse (and I'm away from my rig to go take a look.)

Here is a picture I have of the arm angle.. I had no issues off road and fully flexing it in Uwharrie last weekend.
No changes in KDSS "feel" On or Offroad

I did not notice any issues with the Arm touching the body mount bolt.. I assume you are talking about the one in the last picture.

Ridge grappler 35x12.5-17

Need to do some heat shaping of the front fender inner plastics for a little clearance at the rear on both sides (mine were already cut for the 34”s).

Lock to lock turning no issues with clearance on the KDSS, or anything else really…

Looks like more caster would be nice but may not be needed (alignment specs are stock Toyota done at the dealer)

More info to come..

Update on 35/12.5-17 tire fitment.. (Nitto Ridge grapplers @ )

Wheels: Rock warrior et50 + SPYDERTRAX 1.25" spacers - total offset = 18.25

KDSS clearance - plenty see pictures 1&2 taken at full lock (and held there). This was done static in my garage.

Other front Mod’s needed:
trimming of the lower rear plastics, bracket is hammered back out of the way. Fender liner at the rear has been heated and pushed back.. Pretty normal stuff.
A BMC is going to be needed for my alignment settings as the tire is just kissing the Body mount when reversing.
I also added the Timbren Active Off-road bump stops to the front, which will reduce up travel a little bit (I'm thinking 1/2"...we shall see when I get to off road testing after Christmas)

Total time for all the Mods was about 20 minutes or so per side.. my OEM bump stops came off cleanly.

The next 3 pictures show the side profile. rear of the front right wheel with plastic mods, and side profile to get an idea of how your bumper will interface...

Offset should be able to be pulled in to 25 maybe 35...

All current orders are in production, with an ETA of the 2nd week of Jan for shipment.
We are building up a number of Kits for stock as well, unless they are pre-sold that is..
