👍, you can pull the dash light circuit from the fuse box under the drivers dash with a piggy back tap, ground to a lug under the dash, then the two switching wires to the relay of whatever your wiring up.
be careful, they smoke with over 3 amps...

I just destroyed a set of Kaon Shock guards this weekend, first trip with them on actually...
Not HD at all, fine for overlanding but not for anything with a Rock around to possibly hit them.
You do not have to disconnect the rear Sway bar, you DO have to open the KDSS valves (3 turns only)..
Drivers side, you will need to force the axle down (I use a bottle jack) to get the rear shock out.
in reality the rears are pretty easy, the...
OME Lift finally installed with OME UCA's
kinda a PITA to do... I ended up dropping the LCA out of the way completely on the passenger side, the drivers side came out without having to do that fairly easily.
my use case is similar but now I am fully armored and heavy.
I went E rated tires (Cooper)...
I see no reason for an SL other than a pure asphalt truck, might as well keep the stock tires.
Not sure if its been suggested but just did this (twice on 2 different trucks, recently)... for the passenger rear spring I use a bottle jack between the axle and bump stop (use something flat on the bump stop, I have a safe jack..)...

When were the all plugs last changed? (I think you are at 210k-ish miles?)
I think the service interval is 120k which I think is really, really long imho... but then again most of the trucks I take care of are 80's Tech... I still do the 200...
@kcjaz you are correct, we do not need to use the same safety factors as the lifting industry. But then again we are pulling horizontally, and in a static recovery (winching) the loads are generally not as much as the full weight of the truck...
Fuse both ends, or better yet use a circuit breaker on the car side at least so it’s easy to disconnect.
run your wire down the frame to an Anderson plug.
I’d probably size up the wire due to voltage drop from the length since you are charging...
