Looking at your knuckle and UCA, very obviously they've been beat on a lot. No doubt you'll find the TRE and LCA ball joints have also.

Personally I use a ball joint puller.

About 50% of ball joint I replace are from this sort of damage.

Where did you find this part?

I am done with mechanical parts for now. Winter is coming! Hunting, bad weather driving, etc. Hopefully my M3 will get a break this winter.

PS fluid replaced. Not sure how others do it but I did it with wheels off the ground and engine off.
1. Return hose into empty can, plug outlet (I used just a piece of hose pointing up above level)
2. Turn steering wheel lock to lock (unlock steering wheel with a key).
3. Do step #2 getting oz or so every cycle into catch can. Took out about 1.7qt when I saw clean M1 fluid coming out. Add fluid as you get low.
4. Put everything together. Added about Oz of AT205.

I don't believe into those leak stops, but in this case - I have pretty bad leak and I don't have time to deal with rack right now. So, not going to hurt. Put some in, if it works I will be really surprised.

Cleaned all leaks I see again and installed undercovers. DONE. Will see it 2020.

Replaced plastic fan, mine was wobbly.

Finally used truck for what I bought it. Loved how it performed loaded on a road trip. There was some trails, offroading and firewood hauling. 3 men with all the gear. I will need to make some changes to address convenience items, but other than that - works good.

Where do you take you trucks to get a wash? I see dirt around wheel arches, stuck in corners, etc. I don't think regular car wash will take care of those.

I would just use a gas or electric pressure washer if you have one at home. If not then go to a car wash and just spray it off yourself. I would suggest not using the brushes they have. I have a gas pressure washer and also a Greenworks 1700PSI one from Lowes for $100 that works great and is portable. I use it for my mobile detailing business.

First "mod". With short days and night driving I felt like I have to do it if I want to enjoy driving this truck. Thanks to @Luke111 this conversion wasn't as painful as it can be, but for some reason I still hate this project. I just don't like aiming lights when they are open and don't like extra wiring. Anyways, outcome is superb and practicality is excellent.

Someone who serviced truck before took off rubber cover from high beam. Not sure why because bulb can be replaced from top. Anyways, there was tons of dirt inside. During this project I was able to clean all that. I also polished glass a little. $400 is a lot for old truck, but result is great, I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Now, only time will tell how reliable those Morimoto HID systems.

Today took some samples from steering wheel and from seats. Will be working on interior resto soon. Ridies.com sample also shown, color doesn't match. I'm going to send those samples to couple leather distributors and see if they have good match. I'm only going to do front seats, so good color match is desirable. Ideally I don't want to touch headrests, just seats.

Also, going to do steering wheel, so will see if they have perforated leather in color I need.

Let me know if you get a good leather match. I got a steering wheel from Taiwan and the match is pretty off.

Are your mini H1 lights brighter than most modern cars now?

Got good match for the steering wheel. Not sure how much (or how little) I can buy and it's not perforated. But color is spot on and very nice quality leather. Perforation service will run about $300 which obviously doesn't make sense. I will see if there is DIY. Or, worth case I can just go without perforation.

Still didn't find anything affordable/close on seats. I may go with custom leather dye and get just similar hyde to start with.

Got whole hide of this brown leather. It's matching steering wheel pretty good. Little off, but good. Got 2002 wheel off eBay to practice with. Once I complete it - I will temporary install it while doing my steering wheel. Started to work on one side yesterday. Something telling me I made a mistake, but will see if it works out eventually :)
