Hello
My battery has been dying after about two days. I used my meter to check between ground cable and negative battery terminal. When everything is connected it reads 5.48. When i remove the block with 100a and 140a fuse for alternator it reads 0.00.

am I looking at this correctly?

I removed every fuse and relay from the engine bay to see if the 5.xx reading dropped. It didn't

I removed every fuse from inside drivers kick plate. No change.

i know something is wrong because my relatively new battery keeps draining.

I've disconnected my radio

That fuse block is essentially the supply to the car, the big cable goes off to the starter motor. Start by removing the master fuses one at a time to narrow down the drain.

I assume you're measuring amps in series with the earth cable BTW? The photo crops how you're connected.

I feel silly now. Makes sense if nothing is connected to positive battery terminal there wouldn't be a draw.

I had one end of my meter clipped to ground cable disconnected from battery and the other probe touching the negative battery terminal.

I have a cheap Uni-T UT202A meter from amazon

Even with the 7.5a, 100a, and 140a fuses removed from the block I was getting a reading
