I read a bit on them when the thread was first posted, and yeah they do have a DOT stamp.

LEDs

I used the same LEDs for the license plate - plenty of light and they are a good fit.
15-LED BA15S bulb 67-W15: Natural White

Also installed the JW Speaker headlights. I also had to reverse the wiring, which was simple by just crimping the terminals so they slide out of the connector. The headlights work great. I haven't noticed any flicker. I also replaced all exterior bulbs with lights from superbrightleds.com. Unbelievable how yellow the old bulbs were with a clear lens on the front running lights. Attaching before and after photos.

What LEDs did you use for the running lights? The ones I put in way back when aren't nearly as "spread out" as the light from what you have in yours.

FYI - I have the Trucklite LED's on my 60. No flicker at all, that I've seen. The Speaker light low beams have a very nice clear horizontal cutoff, and I like the low sidelight spread. I will have to go check my Trucklites on low and compare.

are you using 4 headlamps for low ?

I believe those JW Sepaker headlights are only low beam .. am I correct ?

JW makes both high and low beams, this is what Mugnbun's running.
Must be like daylight running all four.

After a month of use, can't say enough about the lights. With the sharp
cutoff, can actually raise the bulbs a bit for more distance and still not
blind the drivers ahead.

Mugnbun- did you find flashers that won't cause the "hyperflashing"?

The JW speakers come in high or low beam. When I turn on the high beam I only get the center two lights, but they're really nice. The low beam turn off.

My running lights in front are from superbrightleds.com:

The Master Pro 2FL2 flasher relay from O'Reilly Auto Parts will fix your fast blinker problem caused by LEDs.

Ok I am sold on a set of high and low beams. Getting them from Great America.
They gave the same price of 280 for them. They are usually 295 but he matched
that 280 price.

YES!! But very bright and will pass PA inspection.

Very bight... ok, but $1100 worth of bright? You could add REALLY GOOD driving AND fog lights for WAY less than that...

Pass PA inspection... so will basic sealed beams.

Why does it matter how much he's spending..

It doesn't MATTER to me, I'm fine with folks doing whatever they like to their rigs... I just was surprised. If I had $1100 to spend on my truck for lighting I can think of a few ways I would spend it differently.

For example:

$250 for a full IPF H4 high beam kit (harness, housings and bulbs)
$130 for a pair of amber Hella fogs
$250 for a pair of IPF 800XSD driving lights
$100 for a IPF Back Up light (8161)

and you'll still have $370 to buy a really good battery or a Mean Green Alternator

LOTS more light on the road in a variety of combinations to suit any situation.

$280 seems like a deal. the cheapest i have been able to find is $325 :( and that is current pricing.

Here's the deal on my setup which is just as if not brighter then the truck lite setup:

I have an HJ61 running 24v

24v sealed beams are a pain in the arse to source so I went LED

Lifetime LED's H4 are priced at $79

Combined with a Hella Conversion kit for $99

These lenses are NOT DOT approved but are legal in Canada. They put out more light and have a better beam pattern then a DOT approved lense. I've asked cops about them and they couldn't care less. If you really have someone at your DMV checking out your headlights you should go elsewhere.

That's $179 for everything delivered to your door.

Simply cut open the dust boot cover a little and your golden.

Plus it's warrantied for 2 years.

I have used this setup for over 6months through epic snow storms, fording rivers, and anything in between. No questions asked this setup has performed excellent for me. I honestly don't even bother turning on my high beams. I used my Rigid Hyperspots for that duty.

My system puts out a hair over 24 volts which fries most LED's and these have performed excellent for me.

Just my 2 cents.
