Hey fellas, new to the 62, truck wiring and the boards, but I'm long-time reader here.

I bought the Speaker headlights in spite of being super expensive because they've been a massive safety upgrade on another old truck, then quickly learned what I'd stepped in with the 62's spacey wiring design. The 62's PO had installed Hella H4 lows, and I now know I'm looking at adapter harnesses on the low beam plugs and there's a big Hella relay near the firewall on the passengr side. Before I understood all this I did the pin switching shown in most of the threads using the simple Holley retrobrite harnesses to keep from messing with the original or the JW Speaker wiring. This first version on top of the wiring for the Hellas gave me low beams that worked on low, but switched off when I hit the high beams. After I pulled out the wiring for the Hellas and got down to the original plugs, I've got low beams that don't work on low, and all four lights come on when I hit the high beam switch. I've read all the threads I could find like, especially fnpierce's here pretty carefully, I think, and I've got a few questions I couldn't find answers to:

1. Is powering both high and low beam Speaker lights off just the high beam plugs with the harnesses you guys have constructed (amw2030's here) the only way to get these things to work (lows on low and high)? Seems like a lot of power going through two plugs instead of four to me and I'd like to avoid it. Like I said, I've tried it powered by all four plugs and got the results mentioned above, so far.

2. Did the add-on harnesses I found plugged into the low beam sockets likely just reverse the polarity for the Hella H4's?

3. Is the Hella relay wired into the harness likely messing with this stuff working right?

4. I've read on some threads that changing the high beam indicator bulb to led is another solution to getting that function back. That true?

Thanks in advance for any help, guys.
