Removed the rear bumper plastic, because I got tired of having to zip tie it back into place every time the 37s would hit it and break the zip ties. So, I know I’ll be getting a rear bumper at some point, so here’s to removing it now, pairing the area black and installing the FourCamEngineering pressure vent.

Also, since I was removing the rear bumper, I needed to add some kind of reverse lights, so I ended up using Harbor Freight Roadshock Rock Lights and wired them into the factory wiring.

How does one break bead lock bolts? Over tighten??
I can't imagine a trail causing them to break. Or can it???
If the bead on the tire is big, it can cause a condition where the bolt is not holding the bead flush, creating an angle where there's more pressure on one side of the bolt, versus flush. Creating an opportunity for the bolt head to break off from the pressure. That's why they sell bead lock ring spacers. Here's a picture from Raceline Wheels describing the condition.

Went in to Stellar Built in Sacramento, CA to discuss a BBL for DJTheGeepX.

Topics discussed:
- Relocated the Anti-Rock through the frame
- Rear Bumper
- Cutting the body below the pressure duct for rear bumper to frame support that would be welded.
- Love the aesthetics of the swing out bumper they completed on a GX470.

Ive been considering cutting the body in the back in the same way for my rear bumper build. Ive seen the instructions from Costal for their DIY GX470 extreme hi clearance rear bumper which req the body be cut and a plate welded in the same location. Ill be interested to see how Stellar does it. On that 470 bumper, it seems the tube works drops down a lot compared to the body chop, maybe its just the angle.
Here is the costal version, I believe it also requiers the removal of the rear most crossmember (bumper), something I am also considering.

I really like that. I love how they boxed out that area where they've cut off the cross member and mounted the new supports. @JDUB fab you going to talk to them about doing one for the 460?

Driver side axle seal was leaking for a bit. Had to fix it and replace both Driver and Passenger side e-brake pads 🙃

Boy, you must really abuse the H-E-double hockey sticks out of your rig for how new it is and how often you're replacing components!
I guess part of the cost of enjoying your toy!

Packed the GX, got the RTT bedding ready and spent one night at GSR hotel in Reno before heading to camp at Black Rock Desert.

Also, my buddy took a drone shot of me taking photos of my GX, plus my photos of the GX at the end of the reel. Check it out.
