Boy, you must really abuse the H-E-double hockey sticks out of your rig for how new it is and how often you're replacing components!
I guess part of the cost of enjoying your toy!
Yeah. I definitely test the dang thing 😄. But don’t tell anybody. I still identify as a mall crawler and a Hard Parker 😄.

Some cool shots my buddy got with his drone…

Dropped off the GX at Stellar Built to get a BBL. Originally we talked about not using any bumper plastics, but Dmitriy mentioned that the bumper would be heavier (unnecessarily) if we used no plastics and all metal. I said, “Yeah you right. I’ll bring you my bumper plastics.”

So far, I’ve been getting teasers via their Instagram account. It’s so exciting haha. So, hopefully I’ll be able to pick up the GX in a week and I can show you folks the BBL 🍑 🤘🏽😄.

The custom design intent of the rear bumper is:

Functionally, it needs to hold a spare up to 40” and be able to bang on rocks. Need it to be strong and not overly cumbersome. Need it to have an accessory panel versus welded in Jerry can holder, so I can adjust the accessories as I please. Also, will need to use an E3 Machine locking latch with delrin pads. Bumper should be high clearance and not have much hanging off of it to get snagged.

Stellar Built will also be relocating my Anti-Rock from under the frame to through the frame for more clearance. They’ll also be taking a couple of inches off the body sides under the pressure ducts to make room for a support bar for the rear bumper as the rear bumper will be welded to the frame. I believe Stellar Built will be building an epic bumper 😎.

Next morning I went on a drive to one of my favorite spots to take photos near my house. 5 minutes from my home!

I like the way your spare is tilted slightly in line with the angle of the barn door. Which my MetalTech swingout was similar.
Looks like you could move your rear axle rearward a wee bit from your fist side photo. Do you get rubbing from rear wheel on the front of the fender when compressed?

Nah I get the rubbing in the rear of the wheel.

When I picked up my GX from Stellar Built, they said that when they opened the box for the E3Machines Latch, the Safety Locking Pin was not in there. I reached out to E3Machine and they took care of me immediately. The customer service is just too notch 🤌🏽. They also included a Flex Fit hat too 🙌🏽.

Myself, I'd put a cable or something on that pin and attach it to the clamp handle or bumper. I can easily see that being dropped in a mud puddle or something getting lost.

Oh, it's not a pin you pull out. It's bolted in using blue loctite. BUT I can see your point. Maybe down the road I'll do a cable to the handle portion as there's a bunch of holes there.
