Jeff -
Do those transmission temps concern you?

Yeah, I'd be a little concerned. How long were you running those temps? If it just spikes there and then cools down to around the 200°F±10°F, I wouldn't worry too much, but that's me.
I know there will be a few folks that will hit the "Wow" emoji.

To be honest, I never knew what my temps were lol. From 40k miles to 155K miles, I never knew what my temps were until now. Apparently, google search says normal operating temp is around 190-220F is normal. I wouldn't mind A/T Oil Temp 2. I believe Oil Temp 1 is the one we should really monitor. I'll be installing a transmission cooler here soon. This is the one I'm installing (currently sitting in my living room):

240*F is the point the fluid starts breaking down. 220*F is when you get into the start of the degradation. As long as you aren't sitting there at 220*F for hours at a time I would say you're probably fine. That said seeing the failures that a lot of the GX transmissions have it appears to be an issue with ATF fluid gumming up the solenoids. I plan on adding some Seafoam Trans Tune on my next drain/fill to help with this. Any extra life I can get is great. I'm at 155k and climbing. Haven't had any issues as of yet. I did do 1 drain/fill and replaced the filter last time I did that as well. Would recommend drain/fill and filter replacement along with trans tune to anyone concerned or at higher mileage and not looking to get the infamous trans codes.

Do you have a link to that mount? Been looking for a solution to mount mine for a while now.
I do not. I messaged the owner of the company via FaceBook on the GXOR page.

Got a leak and identified that my front driver side wheel had some broken beadlock bolts. Extracted the broken bolts and installed new ones. 🤙🏽

My buddy Adobo4runner (who I bought my KMCs from) then sold me a set of 5 beadlock spacers for my wheels. He forgot he had these, as he was having the same issues. I bought new longer bolts to install these as well. I’ll post whenever I get to it lol 😄.

Went snow wheeling for my buddy Adobo4runner’s Birthday and my buddy Truck Norris took the first 3 photos with his digital camera and the last two were from my Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max.

My driver side rear axle seal started leaking again (this time, due to installer error - me, that’s me). The OEM Toyota seal is so dang tight and can be difficult to install, so my new buddy Lee from Solve Function mentioned making a seal driver from PVC, which I found the perfect pieces, which mated together to create this masterpiece of a cheap tool. $10 was all it took. Also, instead of using OEM Toyota Seals, I switched to using Napa Auto SKF branded seals. These are much easier to work with and I haven’t had any issues with the one I installed on the passenger side.

Spent the remainder of 2024 at Marlin Crawler, swapping out RCV Outer Boots and getting my rebuilt RadFlo Long Travel Rear Shocks back in.

Finally completed some much needed modification and maintenance. Installed a Mishimoto MMOC-F transmission cooler with a Maxari Co bracket (designed for the 5th Gen T4R, which works perfectly with a stock GX460, but I had to modify mine to work, due to the BadLands winch taking up the room up front. Mind you, your install may vary, due to winch location; I’m using an Ironman4x4 bumper), replaced the factory water pump and thermostat (using OEM Toyota parts), and upgraded my leaky radiator (leaking from the plastic end tanks in the upper left section) with a CSF full aluminum radiator. Filled the coolant system with VP Racing Fuels Cool Down Madditive along with OEM Toyota pink coolant, not the “Asian” coolant from Valvoline 😄 (that stuff isn’t bad, just making a joke here y’all).
