Rob, the comment about the primer first was made in case you had lots of rust and the cutting out and fixing was going to be a long drawn out process like mine.If you are going with a shop and you have no filler on the tub at the moment and can clearly see all the bad metal areas, then rather do all the metal work first with RB on the hidden areas and thereafter sand blast and then RB the entire tub, especially if you are going to Mig weld and not go old school style like me
