Drive out next time, let’s hit some trails!
Dude, I'd love to. We'll be doing CRockies summer. It'll be my first wheeling experience NOT in the muddy rutty rooty southeast clay. Can't wait.

Next I'm going to be working on getting all my driveline angles set up properly. All that driving last week showed me it could use some improvement, especially over 70 mph.

I ordered @Delta VS 3L Radius Arms and a rear panhard lift bracket on Thursday night at 10pm and they just showed up at my doorstep, Saturday at 3pm. Wild.

UPS ground is good stuff

At least you package your stuff right.
People think a Fragile sticker means they don't have to package accordingly! :hmm:
I once got an invaluable piece of wisdom from a Postal clerk about this. I was about to cross an international border and was sending home some things I wouldn't need where I was going. I was at the counter and the clerk is trying to determine if I've packed it sufficiently, so he asks me: "Could I drop this package onto any side or corner from shoulder height and the contents would be OK?". I was a little taken aback at first, but soon realized that's a really good metric to judge whether the package will survive it's journey. I think about that every time I package anything. I've never lost a package due to damage in shipping.

Are you going to 37s or why did you get the long radius arms?

I might eventually. Just wanted to keep that option open for the future. But I do have some rubbing with 35s on big hits on the trail so I’m hoping this will help.

When I went to 35s for my hzj105, I shifted radius arms 1" further forward.
It helped with clearance from the floor pan at full lock with tires stuffed
Nice, that’s what I’m hoping to accomplish too.

Are you in the US permanently now? Or just a long trip?

I’m too lazy to ready through this whole thread but what size lift is on the car? I have a 3” and I don’t see any rubbing at all.

cmon man it's just 27 pages, set aside a few hours...
haha jk jk

It's about 2.5-3". Not sure exactly to be honest, it was installed when I bought it. But there's only one particular way that I've experienced rubbing, when I'm off road and going fast. If I hit a dip and the suspension bottoms out quickly, even with the wheels straight, there's a loud rub/crunch. I can't quite figure out where it's hitting, it doesn't really leave a mark. But based on the sound I think it's the firewall area/back of the fender well.

I wanted to try shifting the axle forward first before I start spacing down bumpstops. Other than that, no rubbing at all.

But this summer I'd like to replace a few more components and run through the suspension, checking clearance everywhere, properly set up bumpstops, check lock to lock and articulation etc.

I forgot to mention I got these hockey puck-shaped aluminum bump stop spacers installed on the bottom inside the front coil. A forum member makes them in any size. He recommended 1-1/4” which is what I have on my car. Maybe worth a try? I can link his name if you want man.
