Saw this one in Grayton beach last year - I would love a truck like this:

LOL, you vultures! the body is still warm!!!

All kidding aside I parted out a wrecked 97lx before and did very well with it, I don't know if that is to be this ones fate yet, but if it is I will certainly let you guys know and 40th you have dibs on the visors. :flipoff2:

Ha - all in jest. Trying to bring some levity to your pain. I hope for your sake you don't go the part out route and create a Phoenix from the ashes. If you do part it, I am glad to have weasled my way to the front of the line and am prepared to pay a fair price for this hard to source part. Best wishes.

Damm dude that sucks! Best of luck.

RT, sorry to see this happen. As a few others have said, perhaps homeowners will cover the loss.

Otherwise, perhaps find a donor rig which was in a front-ender, but with a good lid, and morph the two into a hard-top convertible, with full roll cage, etc. That would be making some lemonaid out of a bushel of lemons.

That really sucks. Sorry to hear.

burn the tree and the two closest to it as payback and to send a message to other trees

Live Oak doesn't burn well. Too dense. It burns but it's not good to breath any of that smoke.

Raven, why did the tree fall? Where in FL. Thunderstorm windshear?

Bummer Raven.

Damn, that is horrible. sometimes i miss living in a place with nice big trees (i live in Miami) but after seing that i have my second thoughts. kidding. anyways, glad mom is ok. and good luck with whatever you decide to do with it. does it have lockers....hint,hint!!!!

If it happened in the driveway then home owners may cover

I'm with NLXTACY, anything that happens on the property of the home (driveway, garage, yard etc.) should be covered by homeowners. It may be a hassle, but i'd pursue that and hope for something. So sorry to see that man, always a sad day when a great truck dies.

That is a huge bummer... I don't think the home owners will cover that RT your mom would have to be negligent in the fact that you or someone else has repeatedly told her "you need to cut that tree down before it falls on something." If it was storm damage liability on her home owners will more thne likely not cover it.

I hope your mom is all right as well.

take out the sawzall and add a cage and a top

That is a nice chop job who's is that is there a thread on it anywhere?

What made that oak fall? Don't see that happen very often around here unless there is a hurricane....

A friend of mine has a junkyard with a couple of 80's with good bodies FYI...

Lastly, Viva RON PAUL!!!
