Yeah. I’m not gonna really think about changing the valving until this summer. I’m in the queue for a TT front and rear bumper set up and a TrekBoxx drawer system. I have a Stealth RTT coming this week, so that’s more weight. It seems no matter what truck I get, it becomes a fat piggie. Hahaha.

Ya, mine is 8160# with my wife and I and a moderate trip load (Shhh... Don't tell Gaijin! ;) )

My only suggestion would be to maybe hold off on the revalue until you got your major mods in. Heavy bumpers and drawers with gear will really change the dynamic...and then you end up re-valving AGAIN.

Yeah. I’ve been given end of May ETA’s for bumpers and drawers. I’ll have a chance to run it this summer to see how it does as is. And then I can evaluate what my needs are. For now I’m just having fun playing with my new toy.

Interesting. So you run them with less compression off road? I’m still learning what this truck will like. i won’t be doing whoops at speed with this thing so I guess the shock tuning will be different. Only one way to find out.

I do if the road is really bumpy or is a washboard road. It helps a LOT. I just try and be careful not to go in any dips at speed since I'll slam my bumpstops.

Adding bumpers etc. will significantly change things though. Even with all the added weight on my 100, they still ride like a dream.

This tent is so sexy but it takes every square inch of the roof. I need to figure out how to mount an awning to the side of the Prinsu and have it stick out enough to clear the bottom edge of the RTT. I already feel the MPG’s leaving me behind. Drawers and bumpers and I’m gonna be a fat piggie again.

What are you thoughts on the Prinsu as a RTT rack option? I’m moments away from pulling the trigger.

How low profile? How high does the top of the rack sit and what’s the tightest clearance the crossbars have to the body? Do you mind putting a tape measure to it?

I’ll try. I have a RTT on there now so measuring the crossbar clearance will be tough. I’ll try to squeeze in there thru the sunroof.

Eyeballing it, it’s about the same height as the stock bars.

Hope you never plan on entering a parking garage. My 200 barely scrapes the warning bar entering a garage with the oem rack. Pretty sure I scraped the rack in the actual garage at the Rio here in Vegas yesterday.
I’m used to parking outside. My Tundra doesn’t fit in many garages. If I go places where Parking is hard to come by I plan an extra 30 minutes to find street parking.

That’s what the A6 is for. ;)

Yes. Contact crown for a set of extended stainless steel lines .
Not sure about the 16 and newer set up, but the 08 got stretched at full droop.
Are the pre 16 brake lines 2 piece? The ones I got from Crown are intended to replace only the upper part. But the problem is the LC brake lines on mine are one piece with some clamp pressed in the middle. So I need brake lines for the entire length with the banjo style fitting. Seems I need a custom line from them.

Post a picture of what you received from them. Fronts should be one piece per side and rears are two per side.

It sounds like you got the tundra lines. You will need to call them and explain exactly what you need.
Land cruiser lines, +2" in length

Kamal, how much over did you go?
I think my set for the cruiser brakes was +4" and they had lots of extra line.

Just to be safe I did +4" more than stock due to increased travel from camburg upper control arms. +2" should also work if you are not using camburg UCA.

So finally got the LC on dirt. A few preliminary thoughts:

The Icons did great. I’ll need to spend some time messing with the clickers to find a balance of eating up the small stuff but also handling the bigger hits.

The Tundra CV’s spit up grease even when they’re on an LC. It happened to my Tundra once I went long travel and that trend is continuing on the LC. I’ll keep an eye on it.

The LC does great on technical sections even with the ridiculously heavy RTT on top. Although the off camber stuff had me nervous.

I need to figure out what’s best for speed in sand. My rear end was kicking out more than I’m used to on curves at speed. Several times I lost traction and then lost steering. I was only going 40MPH or so. That is troubling. I tried opening the center diff and that seemed to help a little. Some of it probably has to do with the fact that I’m stupid top heavy. But I never felt like I should have lost traction. They were all curves I could have gassed it thru in my Tundra with no issues.

Wheeling with an SUV is gonna make me figure out how to pack my truck with noise in mind. Hearing all your gear jump in your boxes when you take hard hits makes you slow down.

My wrap is not pretty anymore. Hahaha.

Now the pictures...

How heavy is that rack you put on there with the tent? It would be interesting to take all the data to an engineer or an engineering class and have them compare that to OEM and tell you what your new tip angle is? You need to go slow until you have all the information you need ;)

That’s way too much math. Hahaha. This truck is a dedicated family fun vehicle and the wife isn’t likely to let me take her and the kid too fast or she’ll get too furious. But I wanted to stretch it’s legs with the boys this week. Trying to keep up on go fast trails with a bunch of LT Tundras was fun.

Couple of questions. Sorry if they are already in your thread somewhere... What size BFGs are you running? 285/75/17? Also, where did you get the rear link mount armor? Thanks! Love the rig. Starting to build my 2014.

Correct on the tire size. The rear link skid is from Trail Tailor.

200 Series Rear Lower Control Arm Skids

They’ve already come in handy. I’m used to the leaf sprung rear of my Tundra, so when I didn’t hit my sliders going over a big rock, I thought I was in the clear. Forgot about the trailing arm. Hahaha.
