I can't seem to visualize the aft mounted ram.
Please do, and good to hear from you! I'd love to see what you come up with. What I have in mind is going to be very simple and straight forward. No high steer arms or anything crazy.

I can't seem to visualize the aft mounted ram.
The tie rod remaining in the OE location, not relocated to the top of the knuckle, right?
Guess I never considered this as an option, and reason for confusion. Apologies.
ThreeEyedBandit said:Yup! You got it now. Stock arms and tie rod location behind the axle. No worries, glad the idea clicked for you.
Matt
Still don't see how it'll work.
To be remotely close to parallel with the tie rod puts the ram mounted some distance from the axle.
Am I missing something?
Is the angle depicted in post 23 not an issue?
Haha. I forgot that we all don't share the same tolerances around the tie rod, the source if my bewilderment, but also realized a double shear high steer may not be possible, either.
It's late and cold here, but preliminary, so hopefully " we" can figure this out.
Also encroaching is the DC joint.
I have hydro assist on mine
The DC joint is actually my biggest worry for clearance. Out wheeling the other week I noticed my friends front DC joint barely touching the tie rod while climbing an obstacle. It will be a tight fit, but workable.
