Crazy here in Fayetteville. When they start comparing an approaching hurricane to Hurricane Hazel you better get ready. I slept through Hugo and Fran. This one is stressing me out. Putting plywood over the windows and doors today. Generator and fuel are ready. Chest freezer is full of 2 liter bottles of frozen water and ice. Food is cooked and frozen. Vehicles gassed up. Hope it all ends up as a drill.

I'd be leaving for sure. When I lived in the Keys folks I knew back home etc would ask about hurricanes all the time. I always replied that I was safer there than on the Carolina Coast during hurricane season. The hurricane itself is bad enough but the real anguish comes in the weeks and months afterward.

Anyone looking to head west and needing a place to land let me know. We have a spare room and plenty of space for camping. You can go to the Equestrian games instead of Logan's Run.

No s***! It's like the purge out there. All I want is lunch and all the people rushing on gas and water (which the s*** out of tap tastes fine) are making it almost impossible to navigate the roads.
