I ran across another forum. Is this how I'm supposed to set it up with a T since it only has one larger port on the diaphragm

Plumb it for the type of valve that you have. If it's not the original type that had the extra port for the power steering, yes you hook it up like the post you found.

What I was saying in my last post was to basically run the vacuum directly to the throttle body and see if it idles up. Bypassing the valve as a test.

Im gonna try as per picture and see what happens.

Ok update for those who plan on taking this project on. If you use diaphragm below then you will need to T off the throttle body port to the diaphragm and power steering. I had been scratching my head for a year trying to figure out why it wouldn't idle up sure enough this fixed it. I used 1/4 brass T

Trying to repiece my 87 Turbo A/C back together. It was missing the 2 hoses and compressor. I'm on the lookout for a compressor bracket currently and wondering what differences on 22r compressor mounts there are if anyone can post up. Thanks!

bracket needs to match the pump. there are at least three different brackets.

I get it since you have a compressor. I just see a TON of these posts on various forums. I put a lot of Sanden compressors on various old vehicles that didn't have A/C over the years. Easy to find, not too expensive and easy to fab brackets for. I just wondered if it wasn't a good fit for the old Toyota 4 cylinders for some reason.

Ok my extra one is not going to work for you. However if you look at my build in this post, top picture, you can see the bracket I think you need. Builds - BluezClues Build '79 RN37 Pickup - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/bluezclues-build-79-rn37-pickup.1246417/post-14947433

this is from a 85 4runner and the bolt pattern seems to be the same as the A/C compressor from 96 land cruiser which means they used the same 4 through bolt pattern for a number of models, years and compressors. If you want me to confirm the pattern, get some measurements from the 4 through bolts on your compressor and I will compare on my end.

About to go down this rabbit hole to fix my ac.

Anyone know the correct pn to buy on my compressor. Pn on back doesn’t match why I’m seeing should fit. Want to make sure it’s compatible to the bracket and wiring.

I'm getting ready to remove my OBA and reinstall all my A/C in my '86 4Runner. Glad this thread is alive! I've slowly collecting the parts I need.

What foam did you use for the box around the evap?

You can use any 1/4 inch single sided glazing foam or some backer rod. Yes the brackets are different. Now don't quote me but I think the pickup uses a smaller mounting 4 bolt then the 4runner. When I was peicing my system together my dad got the ac system off a 87 pickup I think and I alreadt had a reman compressor. We'll the bracket would not mount to the compressor as tye spacing from the bolts was different. Luckily I had found a 86 4runnwr at a picknpull and the ac bracket was laying in the passenger seat. I have a bracket that I might sell but for sure I've seen like 3 or 4 on ebay. But if you need hard lines I can sell those

For my backing I used lawn equipment pre filters. The old twin 600cc hondas gc620 iirc (flat panel panel, not Donaldson af style)had huge ones but for smaller parts I used whatever fit.

Cleaned all the old foam off with a wire wheel grinder, sanded/cleaned then installed with outdoor rated spray adhesive.
