I'll take a set. Let me know what you need from me.

This is my first FJ80. Getting rid of my adventure bike and am looking to build a respectable off-road FJ80.

What is the minimum size lift kit I need to add for running the H1 wheels and tires?
OR
Is it possible without adding an entire lift kit? What exactly would I need?

Thanks!

You won't get much travel on stock with 37" tires without rubbing and pinning but an OME 2.5 would be about perfect without getting into another whole mess of lifting. I have 850/863 heavy and the ome castor correction bushings and I like the way it rides but I'm running with drawers with some weight in them as well as Ironman4x4 front bumper, OPOR sliders, IPOR rear and skid. If you're not running with armor then go medium OME or the heavy will be a harsh ride without weight. Talk to Kurt at crusier outfitters, he'll hook you up with a good price on a kit.

A medium OME lift will run about a grand all said and done. 5 GY MT/Rs @ 90% and 24bolt beadlock rims can be had shipped for about $1300 so you can see why guys are buying these, after the first set of rubber they've paid for themselves.

Where are you referring to on the price?

As I'm about a month out from having the cash to get the MT/R's I'll only share this link for the MT's but if you dig up the interweb diligently you'll find them and I will post the site once I've ordered mine hopefully in about 4 weeks or so.

I emailed him and this was the response I got when asking about 12 or 24 bolt and the inserts

most of our run flat is a one piece not a 2 piece so it a bead lock and runflat all in one ....................12 or 24 yes you can pick there on low tread tires we pull them off and put them with high tread tires ...............we slid the tire over the wheel for easy shipping

Cant wait to receive my spacers!

Are these still being made? And has anyone received these spacers? Would love to know how they turned out! Very interested in a set!

After running some 24 bolt, recentered H1 beadlocks, I would advise that unless you're running 40"+ tires and need the strength of the wheel for bouncing off rocks, the weight of the H1/37 combo (160#+) isn't worth the cost savings of an oz tire.

You can get 5 tires and wheels in 12 or 24 bolt with the rubber inserts for about $1300 delivered and the tires @ 95% tread. Guys on other forums are getting way over 50K miles before changing and at that point getting another 95% tread set is $700 shipped, you can barely touch a BFG 285 TA KO on clearance for $175 each and they'll never last 50K.

I know the weight is an issue, but if you're running a truxus 35 on a stock rim you're only talking about an extra 200-250lbs all the way around and enjoy the benefit of a Kevlar side wall, airing down to 5lbs without a care in the world, and overall having a pretty bad ass 37" Goodyear MT/R which makes the ironpig look a beast!

For any memberss who are looking, here is a complete set of 4, BFG Baja 37" tires mounted on hummer rims with 95% tread for $699.00 http://www.unclesamsretailoutlet.com/Clone-this-page-p/7050b.htm I do have to ask the question to anyone who is running a set of these tires and spacers. What kind of load do these tires and 3 inch spacers place on the LC front and rear axles. Have you had any problems with axle or wheel bearings since the rims and tires are now off set by 3 inch's outboard then factory spec and the extra 100 pounds of weight on each axle of each tire, rim , spacer and run flat insert? Any problems with tie rods or other suspension items?

With 37"+ tires in general, an upgrade of the front axle is highly recommended. Also, with the high pinion design of the front axle, reversing up a steep slope will quickly end in tears.

Get yourself some Longs, and go easy on the loud pedal when wheeling the bigger rubber.

You get a bad ass looking 35.5" tire (trust me, they are not close to a 37. My 37 toyo's dwarf the military mtr.), but 400 - 500 lbs of extra weight sucks. Don't get me wrong; they are awesome, and inexpensive, but for just about anything other than dry trails they're not great.

let's also not forget that rotational mass is not the same as static mass on the body or in your rig. I'll give you that they look mean as hell though with the military wheel and tire for sure.

My tax return ended up being depleted by a move so here was the place I was going to get mine from, $1300 for 5 rims and tires @ 95% delivered is a pretty smoking good deal IMHO

If anyone gets some please let us know how they are as I won't be able to pull the trigger until after July now.
There's a local guy that sells them with new pressed centers at the correct backspace and lug pattern of your choosing. With rock rings, $1900 a set. Not bad
