Basically that video clears up a lot of myths about plasti dip and has also given me some advice to strengthen the coat on my bull bar, if have a can of clear coat in the shed, so I think I'll now cover the bar in plasti dip as it will definitely strengthen the dip and make it harder to come off

Had a couple of spare hours before work today, so I fitted the bull bar and side steps

I am very happy

And then I rubbed down the rear flares and painted them in satin black as well

I think it's getting close to a new name, The Grub is no longer appropriate

well you have inspired me, will be plasti dipping my bullbar, grill and lights just like yours. Even with the red toyota to match the Turbo badge!!

Yep painting the Toyota badge on your vehicle in red will look awesome with the white and it definitely brings out the Turbo badge.

Seems I'm going down the path of a Demon black and red, I thought I'd show off my new spotties

They are 9 inch HID'S I won them on auction on eBay for $41 they 75 watt and the lenses cost me $15, a good bargain I reckon

Fitted the rear flares today

Put a little bit more filler on the roof as it left a couple of little indentations

And then cleaned up the hubs and painted them black.

Once the wheel nuts turn up, this baby is going for a ride

To keep up with the requests for heaps of pictures, I thought I'd post a couple of pics of the black hubs and wheel spacers

Quite a few posts ago I fitted new 4WD solenoids as one of them was not working and I once I connected them it started leaking oil out of the top of the sump, like some sort of pressure/vacuum problem.

So today I disconnected the engine oil breather hose from the rocker cover and started it up and all good, no oil leak, looks like I'm going to have to unbolt that pipe and give it a good clean

I think I'll leave it till I start on the intercooler shortly

Yep they say there's quite a bit of gold here, but you've got to be prepared to travel and the country is quite rough and very unforgiving

I really like the hood support mod. Did the washer fluid bottle get bolted back up tightly, or does it not work with the struts?

I figured you would call it a Kangaroo bar or "roo bar". Your truck is looking really good man. Keep up the good work. I only wish I had the time to work on mine. Its slow going right now.

I didn't use that bolt hole, I used those holes next to the big holes.

Yep definitely no bull bar being alloy, roo bar is it's correct terminology
