having a real hard time finding the correct steering tie rod, ordered in 3 with no luck, hoping someone can help me out...
cruiser is a 78 BJ40 but we added Saginaw steering about 15 years ago and I didn't keep any notes. YES that was stupid....
tie rod thread is 5/8" and 18 gauge with length of approx. 4 1/2" give or take.
standard clockwise thread.
the small taper section is 14mm (.570)
the large taper is 15mm (.625)

Ive attached a couple pics of the old one I just removed that is shot. i've cleaned it up as best as I can for pic clarity.

Ive tried so many but just cant seem to find one...

Please help, I need to drive the old girl, the weather is fine and this truck is full time convertible!!

Here's the dimensions I have for the ES-140 tie rod end. You might want to check before purchasing the ES-140 rod end.

Moog ES-140R; New one ordered 1/24/18: 0.548" dia.; 0.625" dia.; 0.6875" dia. x 18 RHT or 11/16" X 18 TPI; length from centerline of ball to end of shaft is 3.22". As I recall..... it is a straight shaft. Your's has a little bend in it.
