sorry i misread your intent. i thought you were trying to add something to the v8 thread instead of adding a thread to the 80s section.
to your question. It would be nice but, i don't think your going to get any long tube headers off the shelf close enough to fit out of the box. i am sure you could get some made for enough $$. depending on your setup you could pick up a anywhere from 5-25HP over a block hugger style.
im in the process of gathering parts for a 6.2L (L94 - 6L80-E) swap on my 80. interested in what info you get out of this.

i think you need to keep the motor mount in mind when looking at the headers i have seen mention of some fitment issues with various mount configurations.
Probably going with these unless i find something better
